Free handing banners

Hello all. I just finished a Wood Elves standered bearer (It's supposed to be more of a Winter Elves theme). I decided to free hand the banner. I have never really done much free handing but thought I would give it a shot. I just wanted some advice/criticisms from some of the better painters on Bartertown. Any thoughts on how to improve this? Thanks!

Not too shabby at all. What material is the flag made of? The reason I ask, is that the one criticism I have is that it looks a bit flat. My boss happens to be a big nerd like me, and makes banners with very thin sheets of brass with paper glued on either side. That way the "cloth" can be bent into a more natural shape.

Anyhow, it looks nice. I imagine a took a fair bit of time and a very small brush to do all of that. Good work.

Hey thanks man! As far as the banner, that's the way the model is made (I think). It's completely metal. I use paper for other banners I have made though.

Get a mechanical pencil. On a piece of paper, draw a shape that matched your banner's size & shape. Draw what you want on that banner.
Once you know what you want, draw it on the actual banner with the pencil (AFTER a coat of gloss sealer). Paint over that.
