A while ago I decided to put my mini-painting skills to work on an x-wing, just to see how it would turn out. This was the result:

What do you think?

I'm thinking about selling it off, but I have absolutely no experience with larger scale plastic models (as opposed to gaming minis). Does anyone here have any experience with that sort of thing? Would the model be worth anything? Would I be better off here on bartertown, on eBay, or somewhere else entirely?

Thanks for the guidance.

I don't know that I'd expect to get much, but you'd be FAAAR better off putting it on eBay than here. I'd say at least 99% of the trades/sales on here have to do with gaming materials. Large scale Star Wars models would need a different audience of people. Collectors to be specific and they haunt eBay.

i would do what you can to get the cockpit frame to match the rest of the "blotchy" gray battle score look.
another thing, do an image search on Google and look for the pictures of luke's Red 5 X wing. it has yellow blocks on the top of the nose of the fighter, if you are going to sell it on Ebay then you will want to market it as such a hand painted Luke skywalker Red 5 xwing from the battle at yavin etc etc..
looks good to me, really like the "light of the engines" but would like to see more battle damage.. you have to remember that 99% of the ships used by the rebels were "thrown away pieces of junk"
