Selling a Conversion Question

So, when selling a model you've converted, do you think its better to leave it unpainted, primed or paint it?

Since I'm not playing Warhammer anymore, I've been unloading my projects. I just finished my Troll-fish conversion this morning, adding scales with greenstuff. My greenstuff skills are amateurish - he looks a bit lumpy but the overall effect is pretty good. I'm thinking a coat of black primer will help eveything look more cohesive, but might not photograph well enough to show off the details. Last, I'd say my painting skills are moderate - I could give it a decent paint job, but would most buyers prefer it unfinished so they could paint it with their own scheme?

Thanks

I would go with a neutral primer, such as gray. I think seeing greenstuff and other markings would take away from the overall look.

Agreed 100%.
If your painting isn't exceptional, do not put paint on it.

The gray primer will allow your conversions to show without the distraction of paint or varying colors of medium.

I'll actually disagree here. As a heavy converter myself, I would prefer to see the model in the "raw" so to speak so that I can see what's actually been done. Most conversion contests actually insist on raw photos vs. primed or painted. Then again, that's assuming you're trying to sell your conversion skills.

To answer the OP: I would leave it raw for two reasons.
1 - So the buyer can see what has been done to the model.
2 - If they want to change something they don't have to strip off primer / paint.
