A couple Kingdom Death minis, and Dark Souls knights:
True, we love life, not because we are used to living but because we are used to loving. There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.

So, this was an odd project, as I was basically giving someone else's very standard paint job some more punch (which usually only happens when I get irritated at something old that I painted...):

Thanks, guys-- yeah, it's a pretty fun crew. I've got the LE clear version, but I've just been pretty nervous about how to tackle that one... I've done a couple projects in clear plastic, but it just takes a very different mindset.
Also, updating-- some raptors
and a Link homage (slightly modified b/c I didn't like a couple details, but the model was obviously an homage already)

Oh man, something I think was pretty cruel (if intentional): I played the original Legend of Zelda, and that's from the era where a lot of game longevity came from difficulty. I found out after the fact, that if you enter your character name as "Zelda," it starts on hard mode without saying anything. I assume the idea was it was easy to guess at the "cheat code," but either way, I can't begin to guess how many people unwittingly played hard mode.

And some KD minis- the larger one is just retouched.

Some more Malifaux, with Nekima's old metal sculpt

Next up, something a lot less common for my painting, some Infinity guys that reminded me how much I liked the line:
True, we love life, not because we are used to living but because we are used to loving. There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.

Ah, that always sucks... Yeah, my Malifaux crews are languishing for the same reason, until whatever it takes to get active again, and most of what I've been doing with them is just updating them so they're all a better/current standard. However, a project that isn't part of that collection-- some Neverborn for someone who is playing

Thanks! Sometimes, the model feels just right, and that lighting comes particularly naturally
