A Harridan?
They're substantially larger than that.
Compare this pic:

The Heirodules on the left and right I'd put at 10 points. This thing has substantially more body than them AND huge wings.
My estimate puts it more in the 15 to 20 range. Somewhere in there.

Here is the pre-assembled pics. I cleaned and washed the model so I will be assembling it soon. I am going to pin the wings so I'll have pics of it put together soon (most likely tomorrow).

It is hard to compare to Titans or tanks since Tyranids are so organic but it is a large model lol. It even has 12 Gargoyles on its belly! That's like 12 points just in Gargoyles (LOL - I know I know it's part of the model). I do not have the Baneblade on me at this time to compare to. I also have a friend with some of the Imperial Knight dudes that I can borrow for size comparison.

Some quick measurements:

Each wing: 14 " long (tip of gun to tip of wing), 6" wide, about 1-1.5" thick (at it's thickest)

Body: 9" long (11" long if you include head), 2" wide, 3" tall

Tail: 9" long (but it swirls so whatever)

That's how the wing is naturally, and I meant my Sisters of Battle Rhino - I fixed it.

Yeah the whole body and especially the wing has that torn, bubbly look. I think it looks cool - it is probably to help break up the huge "bare" spots.

Yeah no one else in my family play - although I did play a game of Kill Team with my kids the other day and my son seems to enjoy it a lot so soon!

It's a monster. I don't think 20 points is too many.
I mean, break it down like this...
The head is easily 2 to 3 Infantry in size and complexity. being generous, I'm using 3.
The torso is easily a Rhino in complexity (and almost in size). That's 5 more points.
I can't really see the wings being worth as little as a Terminator. I don't think using a bike as a reference is too much. So, 2 wings @ 3 each is 6.
The tail has to be worth a point, at least. So, there's 1 more.
Now, if you consider the gargoyles... those have to be a Terminator for each brood, at least. It looks like there are 2 broods. So, that's 4 more.
3+5+6+1+4=19
When you consider the fiddly details in Tyranids and in ForgeWorld models, bumping that extra point seems reasonable to me.

Then again, I have to compete against him in this competition...
So maybe just 5 points for it.

lol

Being from the cold north should multiple it... eh?

20 seems fair, this thing is going to be fun to paint (It'll be after I finish my current Tyranid wave - they should be done this weekend!)!

20 still seems a big much, I mean we give 10 for Knights and other size models and I don't believe it's double the size. I'd say 15 is still fair. Mind you I am only going by memory on this as 3e's photos don't show at work (if he's using photobucket it's blocked for me)

Complexity of the model shouldn't factor into it. I mean a Rhino is worth 5 points and a single figure on a 25mm base is 1, yet that single figure could be extremely detailed and may take 4 x as long to paint as a Rhino. Going by that a Necron Ghost ark should be 18 points because you paint 10 warriors along with it ;) Our points system is flawed, but out of a desire for simplicity. We should stick with pure size.

It's a good point, re: complexity. In fairness, my only point in mentioning it was to indicate that it wasn't a large open space that would do with just a once-over of paint and a couple highlights (like the side of a tank, for example).
I don't find 15 to be unreasonable, either. Really, I think anything in the 15 to 20 range is acceptable (since, apparently, we're not going with "2").
