What happens in college stays in college :D

Kidding aside i should also mention i use gw and p3 paints

(Another reason to use vodka is its nontoxic and if your like me and occasionally lick your brushes or are trying a two brush blend technic in which you may have to lick your brush then its a lot safer than thinners)

As a fellow brush licker, I second the vote for vodka. For paints, I go with p3 and Coat d' Arms. They taste better.

I use both Vallejo and GW. I prefer the dropper bottles, but on occassion they get clogged in teh nipple but a little pin takes care of that. I save the craft paint for terrain. If you can work magic with craft paint, then go for it; I find the mini-specific brands work better for me...

I generally have Vall for most paints, gw for metallics, and gw washes. My local store doesnt carry Vall so I have to sub GW sometimes but hasnt been an issue colorwise.

I think, like many things in life, you would best serve yourself trying some different ones and seeing for yourself. Such as I dont see GW yellow coating better than vallejo. I have had minor consistancy issues on occassion with both brands. I would still use them over craft paints though as I find them gloppy. But hey, at .50 why not try a few colors and see if they will suit your needs? Snag some grey and brown that can readily be used for terrain so you will surely use it anyways. If it works well, they even sell sample sets. If they work well get some more. If it's not for you they end up on the greystone castle for Vlad teh Impaler.

I know the vall and old GW colors so I will stick with them. The new range does fill some holes that vallejo had and gw didnt though.

Hope that helps...

I was a brush licker for many years, but I changed around 99 when I got sick once from it. The good stuff per say still should not be licked imo, and I have it on pretty good word that a some of the paints from a few years go were nearly toxic from some people quiting at the paint company.

I now have a newer method that I like, I take the palm of my hand and put the brush in the fold my palm. I then apply pressure to the brush tip, and then pull it out and slightly twist so it keeps a tip to remove extra water and paint from my brush. I then dry my hand on anything I planned on using to dry my brush... pants paper towel and ect.
I will ship out of the US please let me know within the first post where you are if not in the US, it does affect how the trade goes some times. Thanks Also lower rank ships first, and I always want to both use and receive a tracking number so I can know when to expect things.

Heh. The problem is when you pour "one for me, one for the paint."
