That's what i do,

white primer (Tamiya/Mr.Surfacer) then a good base coat of Cygnar Yellow, then i build shadows using bertial brown, scorched brown and Chaos black. Go back to Cygnar yellow for retouching and start highlights up to VMC light yellow.

I tried on one model with sand basecoat, didn't like it and doesn't cut the time that much... i guess i have to accept that 4 hours per model will be the average as i have difficulty to paint models in batch

Thanks all

Cheers

didn't do much this weekend beside cleaning the last of the Terminators and Grey Knights. The army will receive 5 TGK, 2 inquisitors in termie armour, some adeptus mechanicus, including the Squat Mechanicus and his servitor, i thought i had a pic taken early of the boys, but apparently my camera ran out of battery and didn't save the files...might be time also for a new camera.

Anyway, with the sale of my DKOK this week, i got a little of fund in order to chase some Robots, i even created an account for FeePay (although my wife put pressure on me to drop the kids toys they don't use anymore there - that may explain also why my camera ran out of battery...) So after sorting Little People, Thomas and the like i will peacefully sit and assemble some RT toys...

Pics later to come...

I've got a nearly completely painted copy of that Inquisitor in Terminator armor. The pointing one.
He's seriously bad *ss.

Your RT marine collection looks like mine.

Except you've gotten a lot more assembled.

Great stuff man, keep it up.

I wanted to bid on that, but he wouldn't ship to Canada. It also looks like his back-mounted gun is missing.

That won't work--we both want the same stuff! lol

The spare arm is definitely good to have.

no news this week beside that i hate transcription factors. working hard and fast as usual on sundays before the normal work starts again tomorrow. On the RT side, scored another imperial robot and 6 scouts, saw 2 land raiders on sprue over feepay, might be tempted for a 3rd one, i'll see if i got the time to be in front of the computer by the time the auctions ends.
Got more bikes, more speeder riders which will complete a squad of 3 speeders and 3 attack bikes, 2 more of each and i'd be able to follow the RT list...where squads of 10 can be mouted in speeders or attack bikes...

k, back to work and those freaking factors...

woke up badly this morning, i guess i'm also too old to get out in week day...
Anyway, i'm now the happy owner of a RT Land Raider still in box sealed, that means mostly the second Raider i have still on sprue will end up built, the question is Spartan or not Spartan...rhinos are not problem as i have some still in box as well...

On the Robot side, i got 2 on 5, a third is currently spoken for... i finally be able to get a full squad of them, next step will be to write the scirpt for their combat protocol...

on a side note, just saw the new GK models...interessing, must resist even if they will fit pretty well with the Elysians... will see...

in the meantime, keep RT alive...
