I see one of our advertisers is listing magnets. I need some for magnetizing the gun on my Ork battlewagon. I'm ok with millimeters, but standard throws me off. [all my tools at work are metric, so I have a better reference. Also the with has beads for making jewelry and they're all metric.]
I have some that I think 1/4 x 1/16..and they're too big for what I need..
so, 1/8 x 1/16?

Re: Magnets
Hey,
1/8" dia x 1/16" thick should be very comparable to the usual 3mm dia x1.5mm thick. I've used either.
1/8"=3.175mm
1/16"=1.588mm
0.175mm diamter or 0.088mm thickness shouldn't make enough of a difference to matter much.
For reference I usually use a 1/8" drill to make the hole for a 3mm magnet. I think it provides a good fit.
