Any tips or ideas on converting Daemon Chariots?

Post by Garlicson2 »

As some of you can tell, I'm building a Daemon army in 40k, and it appears GW doesn't seem to have any chariot model for the Herald (Except for Slanneshi, I believe, unless it's just a lawn mowing vehicle). I've been debating on it and finally decided to make my own.

At the moment, I'm looking to make one for my Tzeentch Herald, but instead of using a disc, a chain link, and hooking it to both the screamers and Herald and calling it a "Chariot", I'm looking to make a unique one. Any tips, recommendation on what to get, and maybe a "How to convert it"- Is all appreciated.

Couple of things to know when trading with me:

1. Lower rated users ships first (Me included). If you wish to receive payment first, you should ask before we make an agreement.

2. I accept Paypal and Venmo. I prefer to do transactions with the Goods and Service fee for both to ensure safety on my end and yours. Please do not send it as gift.

Other than that, I'm a easy going trader, so don't hesitate to make any offer, worst I can say is "No thanks".

What about using a plastic stingray as a base? Convert as needed from there?

Not bad, I could use those to save some money. Can they be found in Wal-Mart/Target?

Walgreens is also a good place to find little plastic gribblies like that. Just a thought
Lower rating ships first, pays first, or works out a deal that is mutually acceptable to all persons involved.

Don't like my offer, tell me no... I'm all growed up, I can take it.
All offers are good for 24 hours
Gifting a paypal payment is unwise and I won't do it, neither should you....

Depending on how far out of the box you want to go... GW is just releasing some new stuff for WHFB Chaos. There are some cool chariots in there.

Lower rating? You ship first.

Yeah, I've seen it. It looks more like a Khorne-Based chariot, so I may use that for Skulltaker and a Khorne Herald. I was thinking of maybe using a Tomb King Chariot and convert that, but on the other hand, the Empire chariot also looks nice. But if theres another miniature comp. that haves different types, let me know.

I've found what I need. Thank you all to those who helped. The mods may lock this if they want, I have no plans on returning on this thread.

I found out what type of Chariot I want to use for my Heralds of Tzeentch (And Khorne).

So, what type of model are you using? We can all use the inspiration!

- A simple 'not interested' to a trade offer is just being polite. It helps people setting up multiple trades know where they stand.
- Google something for someone, they get an answer. Teach someone how to Google their own answer, they own the Internet.

Well okay, if you wish.

I decided to use a Tomb King Chariot, remove the wheels and the front poles of the chariot. I was thinking of drilling a hole under the chariot, big enough to fit on a stick from the flying bases (The clear ones from the 25mm fly bases). The two Screamers can either be GW or simple stingray toys. Same thing as the chariot to make it look like it's flying. They'll be placed on the square bases for Fantasy chariots, and super glue a chain necklace (The cheap kind that haves a hook) ends to the Screamers. Bring the middle part together and glue it on the edge of the chariot. I would not recommend glueing the herald on the chariot and put him on his own base because it would look cool to put him on the chariot and removing him when he gets into close combat so the large base wouldn't take up too much space. But that's just me, so if you want to glue him on the chariot, then put the necklace on his hands.

If you got any questions about my idea, let me know.

Think outside the box. Here's what I did a while back for my chariot of Nurgle.
