Re: 2012 Bartertown Terrain Challenge
the round bases in the first picture are old CDs that are scratched.. so, about a 100mm diameter base. Almost maybe the size of a GW huge flying base.. less than 6 x 6 for sure..
I should have put a Space Marine in there for scale..
the 2 large building sections in the second picture measure 17 inches by 10..

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

Re: 2012 Bartertown Terrain Challenge
If this thread is still going on, I'll post my Mordheim project. My wife bought me Dreadstone Blight and a chapel of Sigmar and those things really got me thinking of The City of the Damned again. I wanted to make enough stuff to replace my long lost scenery from the Mordheim boxed set. Luckily, just then, I found tons of black foamcore in the trash at work! This project started awhile ago and has really been on hold due to some urgent 40k painting. I'm hoping that by posting here I'll be motivated to hurry up and finish the project.
So the original box set had, to my recollection:
5 buildings
1 bridge to connect the buildings
1 ladder
2 barricades
1 ruined chimney
1 small monument
So far, I have made most of this. Pics to follow.

Can't post the pics for some reason. Bartertown keeps saying the JPG's are "invalid files".

Ok, this is a test pic, showing 3 foamcore buildings, 4 rubble piles, and 4 wyrdstone counters. I couldn't remember how many wyrdstone counters the box came with, so I made 4, if I ever need more in games, I'll use my generic fantasy treasure counters. If it works, I'll put in some close ups.

Nevermind, it seems I cannot post pics no matter what I try to do. Pic of the overall scenery collection as it stands can be seen here:

Rubble piles:

My two unfinished buildings:

I still have to decide how I'm going to make the large bridge connecting two houses, and put together a ladder and four or so small plank bridges.

Re: 2012 Bartertown Terrain Challenge
If there is anyone wanting to do this challenge for 2013 please post and let me know.
I know we had some trouble getting enough people in 2012.. so I am not sure if it will run again.
Please post if you are interested in seeing a 2013 thread. (I just don't want to open another one and clutter things if there is going to be no interest.

I'm up for one. I need to build a couple of demo tables, and I need to build some terrain for Warlands. Might as well get bragging rights for it, right?
ETA - I have a ridiculous number of Hirst Arts molds. If someone needs some bricks cast, I'm more than willing to work out a trade of loose bricks for stuff from my want list.
