He is a mix of mk3 torso, legs and shoulders, and mk2 assault jump pack and a term sgt head. The arms are 2 powerfists that have been converted into pre heresy lightning claws (finger claws). Trim has been added to give them that pre heresy feel. I felt he was missing something at this point though and decided to craft him a harness.
I basically fashioned a thin strip of GS and cut it into quarters. While it was still curing, I placed 2 onto the model to work as bottom straps.
The second 2 I let dry a little more before cutting them onto squars. I glued the squares onto the main strips, spacing them apart.
Then I sanded the corners and added a middle strap to connect them
Then I gently shaved off the center piece from an MK4 chest plate to use as the fastener, added some seals and he was ready for paint
And here he is painted.
Had a blast working on him and I am rather happy with how he turned out.
