Does anyone know of a place where you can buy Lava bases?

Post by CMSheats »

Hello all!

I am searching around for a company that makes lava bases.. I may also be interested in snow/ice bases, but I just can't seem to find what I am looking for anywhere. Do any of you guys know where I could get some lava bases for 40k?

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Chris

Secret Weapon makes a lava flow base, I believe.
If I forget to post a reference for you, please let me know!

A local player made his own. He took the standard GW base and bought glue on cork. It's flat and is available at craft stores, like Michaels.
It's already sticky on the back, and you just cut it out, peel it off and stack it to shape. Then paint it as you want.
He did his entire 40K SM army like that; infantry and larer models, like dreads.
Heh, I was called a Grognard. ;-)

Dragon Forge (another of our advertisers) has an "Ice World" series of bases. I know someone who has some, and they look GREAT painted up as lava.

Base Contacts.
He is, alas, no longer in business.
He just stopped coming around and paying his advertiser fees one day.
IRL, he was a firefighter, so it made me concerned for him. I didn't want to risk intruding and email him, so I have no idea what happened.

Too bad, though. I've got a bunch of his terrain. Some of it was decent stuff, and well casted.

I still had some credit left with him until last month when he responded to PMs and i finished it off, so nothing sinister occurred, I think he just got busy.

I have a pretty full set of trenches and bunkers of his and alot of lava bases for my necrons.
