Does this bother anyone else?

Post by SHaMWoW »

Anyone get bothered or think it's stupid that people post things for sale/trade and then not reply to PM/comments about the item(s)? why would you post it in the first place?

Yep, it stinks. At one time a user had some models I really wanted, and I was willing to pay his full asking price. I sent him a pm stating such...and nothing. A week later he relisted the thread, with the same models. I sent another pm...and nothing. A third week went by, and yet again the models were relisted. This time I sent a pm imploring him to tell me why he had forsaken my offers, and appologized in advance for anything I had done to offend him. This time he responded, saying that he had just too many pm's and did not get back to me. However, someone else had *just* purchased the models I wanted. Either I have really bad luck, or he really did not want to sell them to me for some reason.
Always remember that your stuff is nearly worthless junk. The other person's items are highly valuable collectibles.

If I owe you a reference, please remind me.

I don't expect people to wait forever for an answer, and expect the same courtesy.

Probably your 392 rating. That obviously shows you are not to be trusted.

I have had that happen to me more than once here, too. You figure if they wanted to get rid of stuff, they would at least look at your PM.

- A simple 'not interested' to a trade offer is just being polite. It helps people setting up multiple trades know where they stand.
- Google something for someone, they get an answer. Teach someone how to Google their own answer, they own the Internet.

i love how people dont log in after I send them a PM. have one sitting here since 7/1. I log in almost twice a day.
In an act of kindness and respect, please respond to PMs one way or the other with in a timely manner.
Im sorry but I do not ship outside the US.

This is the worst IMHO, and I'm currently am dealing with a similar case. Saying that, I do miss a PM every once and awhile but I do try to get to everyone in a timely manner. In situations like this it almost seems like I'm getting trolled, "MWAHAHAHHAHHA HE WANTS MY STUFF AND I'M JUST GONNA IGNORE HIM MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA".

I recently had a guy looking for a specific item, but didn't know there were 2 versions, from 2 different editions.
I asked which he wanted since I had both.
He said he didn't know there were 2.
I sent him pics and asked which he wanted.
He responded back immediately; within minutes on all of the pm's.
I then sent him an offer.

Then he stops answering my pm's. over 24 hours goes by and he still hasn't answered.
I send him a pm stating, since it's been over 24 hours and ou haven't replied to my last pm, I presume you're no longer interested. Thanks for having me do all the work finding out what you wanted and not saying, thanks but no thanks or a counter offer.

He replies back with, well since you're being such a dick, I wouldn't deal with you no matter what. I had 30 other pm's and I chose 1 of them.

A case of, he can be rude by not answering, but if he's questioned, he gets his feelings hurt. I told him welcome to my do not trade list.. He said the same.

I saw he had an ad asking for something else, last week. I sent him an offer. He didn't even bother to respond.

He's still an active trader here, and I presume still tempermental.
Heh, I was called a Grognard. ;-)

Drives me crazy...and not just here, but on Craigslist and that one online auction place that I wont mention by name here. Example, I have been looking for an exercise bike, I want an upright that positions you simialar to a TRI/TT bike so I can still get some rides in when it rains for a week straight (grrrrr....just like now). I find one on craigslist, text the guy "hey do you still have the bike for sale?" his response "yeah"...my response "can you send me a model number or a pic so I can see if its what I am looking for.." his response....."crickets...crickets" 2 days and no response. I mean look if you want to sell something, either respond or dont waste peoples time with useless posts.

this is the worst. i try not to throw out a ton of offers just to stop myself from promising things i cant deliver. So when i put out an offer on someones stuff i wait until i get a response. this has caused me to lose out on a few good trades.
I'm From Canada. This may involve a slight cost increase for shipping.

I am always open to offers, even if I don't list something as a want it doesn't hurt to make an offer.

It is polite to respond to a pm even if its just to say no thanks.

If you don't respond within 48hours all offers are void. Unless you have informed me ahead of time.
