Airbrushing Advice Needed

Hello all. I recently purchased a airbrushing compressor with brushes, bottles, hoses, ect. Now, I have never used one of these before, and just wanted to get some advice from people with experience in these matters. I know how it basically works..... like the absolute basics. But are there any big things I should look out for/not do? Like I said, I have never used one, and do not want to make some really dumb mistake that could have been avoided if I just asked for some advice. At this point, any advice would be appreciated. Also, what types of paints do you guys use for it? Would citadel paints work? Or are there others that work better? Thank you!

there are yahoo groups just on airbrushing, how to, what to use, what to buy, where to buy, and troubleshooting.
I know a I posted link to the yahoo group i signed up t o years ago. I don't use an airbrush, but I still belong to the list.
