I'm pretty sure that horse was 90% intestines, by the looks of it.
Do I owe you a trade ref? Remind me- sometimes I forget!

I did actually think to myself, "Man. That's a lot of intestines."

Yep.
It was announced after, like, episode 3 or 4 that they picked it up for a full 13 episodes next year.

Also, the finale apparently broke records for the # of viewers for A&E AND basic cable/satellite stations.

We DVR'ed each episode. My son and daughter-in-law are big zombie movie fans so they come over to watch it. (They don't have cable presently.) They were going to be ticked off if it didn't come back!

I DVRed it, too.
Normally, I delete shows/movies after watching.
Not these!

I've been trying to talk my 12 yr old daughter into watching them with me when I re-watch them. She's at that age where she want to prove she's hard core, but deep inside is still a kind of wuss. LOL Not sure if she's going to or not.

We kept my youngest (12 yo) son from watching it for the first few episodes. Then he kinda snuck in on the last two. He had to avert his eyes for a couple of scenes. (Momma taking pickaxe to hubby's dead noggin for one.) He enjoyed Zombieland, but that was much more tongue-in-cheek than TWD.

Mine will be kind of the same way.
She's the kind to turn her head with an "Ugh! Gross" at the gore, but she's scared of the actual "scariness" aspect of it.

I told her there's very little "jump out and scare you" in this. She doesn't seem to believe me.

I don't get it, though. I've spent about the last 10 years making a game out of sneaking up on and scaring the daylights out of her. You'd think she'd be immune to it, now. LOL

I hadn't heard that.
A quick Google of "The Walking Dead Fires Writers" pulled up a slew of Google results. Nothing newer than 12/3/2010, though.

Here's one about the firing:
http://screenrant.com/the-walking-dead- ... aco-89980/

(Note that, per the article, it's a rumor)

Here's another article (the oldest one I saw @ quick glance) where they outright denied it:
http://insidetv.ew.com/2010/12/03/walki ... d-writers/

Looks like the only questionable return is the lead make-up artist.

Also, since there's the possibility that this thread might see some new life for a bit with this, I'm moving it to the Discussions forums.

Slight correction:
Here's one from 12/7. Still refutes the firing, though.
