New Paint Set Ideas

Post by bluemeenie »

Hello all...long time no posty!!!

I have been using Vallejo paints for the past 10+ years and slowly been going through the Vallejo 99 color Game-painter set that I picked up back then when GW changed their color formula.

That said...most of my paints are now mostly dried out or almost completely used, and I am thinking of chucking it out and starting over with a fresh set.

Here is where I come to all of you.

I have been hearing about liquid pigment type paints that never dry out but am not sure who makes them, or if they are still truly up to snuff. I hear that GW paints have gotten better, but their price and bottle size makes me shy away from them.

So any thoughts on some good sets out there?

Please note that I have an airbrush also, so they need to be able to be thinned out for that and also work blend well with the Badger airbrush colors and shades.

Thanks in advance on anyone's input, ill check back later!

Steer away from GW. They have a few things you can't find easily elsewhere, but for everything else their paint is still expensive and their bottles still dry faster since they aren't droppers.

I expect honesty about models' conditions, thank you.

If I don't respond in a day or two, please check back, I've forgotten-sorry.
