Chimera parts...

Post by TheRhino »

On a whim, I picked up an old IG Chimera hull. It's just the hull, though, no tracks, turret, or back plate. I'm guessing it was originally a Basilisk kit or something.
I'm considering buying the bitz to complete it, but wasn't sure how compatible the parts from the current Chimera are with the old chassis. This is one of the old versions, with the bogey wheels between the hull walls.
If I buy a top plate, rear door, and turret, is it going to fit, or is this thing mostly just good for a wreck or a scratchbuilt Griffon?

It is terrain, or an ork vehicle awaiting.

The 2 Chimera hulls are virtually incompatible. They have different configurations on how the track parts attach to the hull.. different turret attachment points.. different rear doors.

I have 2 of each style, one of the older ones I had to re-create from 3 partially complete original models. None of my "on sprue" new parts worked.
2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

If you don't have your Location listed in your User Control Panel, why not take a second and update it? It will let your trading partners know where you are from the beginning.

I use the Unofficial Porkuslime Trading Guidelines - if you have way less refs.. you ship first.

Folks I am awaiting a ref from.. Zack

Thanks, PL.
I ended up trading it away. It'll end up as a nice Ork vehicle.
