GW Bloat , Are they feeling the effects???

Post by nightlord »

Well today i went online to see if anything new was on GW's FAQ for 40k.

The Whole section has " Error 404 – All Records Expunged from Library section"

As a joke, ive been going around saying the site is crashing due to the amount of rules BLOAT Gw has with 40k.

I know this cant be a prelude to 10th edition rules.

 Or is it??? Is GW going to do a sneak attack with a new 10th edition set right before Christmas?

Im sure its a simple matter of GW just cleaning up their servers in time for 10th edition so they can fit MORE FAQ's when 10th does drop. :-? :-?

On a side note, Has the re release of WARMACHINE gonna make GW stand up and take notice? And finally clean up the rules for 40k in 10th. Or is it already written? Because im already seeing friends and people on the sites say they are taking a break from GW and playing Warmachine instead.

I have a feeling the rules are already written and being printed as i type this , Reason i say this is because one time at the NOLA open( i was playing custodes), A rep had told me he already saw the new custodes codex. And said i wouldnt need the support of Forge world anymore to play the custodes.

I assumed GW was giving Custodes some new vehicle(s) and this would be the reason i wouldnt need Forge World vehicles.
And this was months before GW had started the rumors of a new custodes codex. How wrong he was; custodes got no new vehicles. And i still needed forge world models. And my army got to see the winning side for several months before the famous GW NERF.

Now lets see how BAD(Or Good) the Guard codex is going to be. If its good, GW will Nerf it in a matter of months. If its BAD an FAQ will appear to give it a crutch and we will have to just CARRY ON.

As the saying goes, The more things change the more it stays the same.

I went looking for 30k FAQ/downloads last night. Nothing. There seems to be no FAQs/downloads on their site.

Odd??

You have to change the address. It auto redirects to the wrong one.

Correct link:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/faqs/

The one it tries to bring you to is this:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-us/faqs/

Which is broken.

I'm sure they'll fix it eventually.

I guess GW has to cut back on IT techs because of all the lawyers they have to pay instead. XD XD XD

I highly doubt GW even notices what Privateer Press is doing now. GW is an IP company with a miniature line. It’s not really a miniature company anymore.

I don't think they're going to sneak in a 10th edition on us. It'll probably come next summer, as rumored.
I'm sure the rulebook is written, but I don't think it's been printed yet. Otherwise, they've got tons of books (that they paid to have printed) sitting in storage (that they're paying for) with no return on investment.
Nah.
The book might be AT the printers, but they're not churning them out yet.

As for Warmachine? I also think this won't be a major competitor for GW. Privateer would have to totally change the scale of their games from skirmish to army before they trod too much onto GW's domain.
At most, they'll impact some of the skirmish games a little. But, even then... I doubt it'll be anything GW will truly feel.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.
