I was really sick to read the other bad trader reports about the_trader. I posted him $80 for a large amount of IG infantry-70 Steel Legion troops and 30 stormtroopers. I realize those numbers are a little too neat, and I should have known that it was just a bit too good of a deal. Still, I have found people selling collections for pennies before, when they just wanted to clear stuff out, but I guess I should have been more wary. I am in the US, so could anyone else with cross-Altantic buying experience please tell me how long I should wait before I get suspicious?

He did have one postive trade under his belt when I traded with him. Has anyone gotten their stuff?

Excellent! Let me ask a favor-please make sure there is plenty of tape on all seams of the box, as my local post office has a problem. Sometimes boxes that are not really well-sealed get rifled through.

God, this is just getting ugly.

Nothing for me yet. As I said previously, I was going to wait for tomorrow PM post but given the amount of traffic here on the_trader I decided to open the paypal dispute and post the BTR right away. If, by some chance, he comes through I'll make sure to post. Who knows, the guy may be called away on urgent family business or something and can't get to his computer ("What a day for a daydream!")

I have now filed a dispute with Paypal. For whatever that is worth.

Is there any kind of joint action we can take? Has anyone been successful in getting personal contact information for this guy?

Add me to the list i just Paypaled him $70 for 4 Chimeras. Hasnt been enough time yet to BTR though.

You're right, in that it won't accomplish anything in regards to getting back his stuff... but he still should post his complaint so that (a) the immensity of the_trader's scamming in accurately represented and (b) he said he wanted to (eventually) do it. I was just telling him that he could do it immediately.

Now, if one person was to step up and be the tip of the spearhead attack to get people's money back, Norseman will have made it known that he's one of the affected, too.
