I am pasting a conversation I've had with another user, Caleb....as the person before me stated "don't believe me"...if you don't, fine....I am contacting the police myself this afternoon.
Hello,
My name is Simone. I received a call from a "Chris" yesterday which prompted me to come onto this site and find this MESS! This "Chris" was asking for models or his money back. Let me explain something....Maxx is my EX boyfriend. We were together for only five months and I dumped him three months ago. He had asked me if he could use my address to have things shipped to him because of a "mishap" in the past. I thought I was being a good girlfriend and that he was just having these toys delivered to my house after paying for them himself. I remember seeing a package or two come from you and I handed them over directly to him at the time without opening them. He assured me that everything was harmless and there was nothing further I had to do with it. Is your last name ******? That was the last thing I received from someone and, having not opened it, I couldn't tell you what it was. I called him and text him several times asking if he was going to pick it up but apparently he flaked on me too. I still have whatever it is and would be more than happy to ship it back to you via UPS with a delivery signature required for proof. Other than that, I'm extremely concerned because I've never received anything from anyone on this site since. People are talking about monies being sent and I have not seen anything. I know he has a new girlfriend so I don't know if he's having things sent to her house now or what. He won't return my calls and I've sent him several emails asking him to come on here and explain that I've had nothing to do with this. I've also emailed the site admin here but I have yet to receive a response. I'm pretty upset that my name is being dragged through the mud for something I thought was purely innocent. I am not a theif, or a cheat. I don't know what to do at this point but, if you would like to respond, like I said, I will return the package to you asap if it is yours....I had no idea all of this is happening and although I hate to say it, I truly feel like a victim....I await your reply.
Also, through my conversations with the site admins, I have discovered that he has set up a paypal account in my name which is what you all have sent your money too. So, apparently I am a victim of Identity theft as well....

Re: alright enough
I am a moderator here, and prior to your 2 posts, I knew everything there was to know at the time.Cheated wrote:when he called me, he said "I knew his email address"....he didn't leave a phone number and since I AM innocent, I obviously did not have a way to contact him....I am discussing all of this with the admins right now. Let's please not jump to conclusions as you do not know the situation at hand.
If you are innocent, I maintain that the law will determine that and you have nothing to worry about.
The fact of the matter is that people here were wronged. Max and yourself have been accused as the wrongdoers. Now you're saying that you yourself are also a victim.
I still maintain that everyone needs to just contact the police and get their story told. The sooner that happens, the better for everyone (except the culprit, obviously). The fact that you're calling the police yourself is a good start, especially on your behalf.
Simone, understand that no one here is against you unless you're the thief. We're not trying to falsely blame anyone or nail anyone to the wall, hell, most of these people just want their stuff back and that's it.
If you can do your part with the police and let them know what Max is up to, it would help everyone here, yourself included, a great deal.

"Simone," please understand... if you are innocent... that the above instance is a ploy often used my scammers. I had someone try it with me before. The fact of the matter is that people here were wronged. Max and yourself have been accused as the wrongdoers. Now you're saying that you yourself are also a victim.
We don't just take that statement at face value here.
The fact that you are in contact with the Moderators here says something positive for/about you. If you actually go through with your police contact, then that will say something else good for you... It's only fair to point out that I seem to recall one instance where the person claimed innocence in a story similar to your own, and was telling the truth.
Want to have another good point for you? Give your phone number to one of the Admins here (they are all great and trustworthy guys) and allow them to give it to anyone who THEY think has proven that they were cheated (these guys have STRICT requirements for proof, let me tell you).
Even if those who were cheated don't call you, or only call you once, that will be reassuring for them.
If you are innocent, call the police & post the contact info for your detective here.
Eric
P.S. I hope you are telling the truth, as I prefer to believe the best of people.
P.S.S. If he really has used you in that fashion and isstealing your Identity, I hope he gets (literally) castrated for it. Do you have any tough older or younger brothers? LOL

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

I spoke with a deputy at my local police department and told him my story. I also called paypal because like I mentioned earlier, he apparently opened an account in my name. Thing is, my name is spelled incorrectly, it's not my email address, credit card, and apparently, no other information of mine was used for the account. The PayPal representative told me that the account had already been closed and that she would make a note of it on the account. The deputy told me there was nothing he could do for me because since he did not use any additional information other than my mispelled name on the account, it does not qualify for identity theft. He also said I couldn't do anything because I personally am not out a financial loss because of this. It's incredibly frustrating. I really want to help and prove my innocence but I am reluctant to give my phone number because I don't want to be harassed by angry persons when I really don't deserve it. I would also like to know if I can get confirmation from "Xtapl" that Maxx has contacted him proclaiming my innocence (which he said he did after countless messages with me begging him)
I am the "Chris" in question, and I didn't leave my phone number because I didn't need to. I heard from you THAT DAY on my email, and again this morning. Obviously, you do, indeed, have a way to get in touch with me.
I didn't "demand" anything. I was as polite as it gets when asking someone not to defraud you. As a matter of fact, I even said please and thank you.
I called you as a "warning shot over the bow," to let you know that in this age of information access, it is not possible to take someone's money and then hide. You will be found.
If "Max" is your ex-boyfriend, and he won't return your calls, then you should leave him this message: If you don't return my phone call today, I am going to PM your phone number, both at home and at work, to every single person you owe money to. I am also going to tell them where you live and where you work, the name of your parents, the license plate number of your car, and every other piece of information that a girlfriend has about her boyfriend. If your story is true, you'll be willing to follow through on the warning.
At any rate...
The fact remains that, via private email, I was told by someone using an email account under the name Simone Daily that my merchandise has just been mailed, and that I will receive a tracking number shortly. Your story is believable, to an extent, and so I am going to hold off for a few days and see what transpires.
But, like insidious said, the time for acting is pretty much now. Either you deal with your ex-boyfriend, if your story is true, or the police will. And you know, if the police get involved, you are going to end up paying along side him...
EDIT: The email I received from the Simone Daily account had no mention of your story, nor did it state that "Maxx" was who was emailing me. All it said was that my package was just mailed, and that I would receive a tracking number that had to be retrieved from the car, which was lost "in the mess." That was very early this morning, and I have not heard back since.

I never ship first when trading models for models. Don't even ask. Simultaneous shipping or no deal. I don't care what your rating is.
are you serious!!
That jerk!! The email is not my email address, and my name isn't even spelled correctly! You were indeed very polite on the answering machine and I would love to help you out but I don't think you guys are getting this....my email, address (other than the one he used to ship things to my account), etc...is not my information. So no Chris, I didn't have any means to get a hold of you because IT'S NOT MY INFORMATION. You have my number and, if you can call after about 6:00pm PST, I would be more than happy to discuss this with you.
Well, you seem genuine, but then so do scammers. It's the nature of the beast, and I'm sorry that there are people out there that would use the people they claim to love or care about in this manner; it is truly unfortunate.

I understand....and yeah, I'm fealing pretty betrayed and hurt right now..Also, in response to Chris's post, I will try to give the information I know...as far as
Well, apparently I wasn't that good of a girlfriend or visa versa because we only dated for five months, at that, it was very few and far between when we visited because of other responsibilities I have. I don't have his address even though I think someone on here already got it, he said he just changed jobs so I don't know that...I do know the name of his parents, I don't know a license plate number, but I do have phone numbers, etc..I will give it out at my discretion though for fear of retaliation.PM your phone number, both at home and at work, to every single person you owe money to. Yeah I did get several PMs from Cheated, and I have been told that all she has are the 9 backpacks, which is the last thing I sent, and that she shipped them today and she PMed me a traking#. I'm working over the last hump here all I need to do is get my $50 back and my 9 berzerkers back and then I'll have what I started with minus maybe $3 in postal cost and a hell of a lot of time. Has anyone else noticed that Max is excedingly hard to get in touch with? And if I don't hear from him that he's sending back my models and money in about a week I'll need the phone number of the Mira Loma or Alta Loma police. We do have more than one residence for this guy right?

Caleb...
Cut that crap out.
You have his info. Don't freaking wait. Call the damned cops NOW.
He needs to be turned in, regardless as to whether or not you get your shi... stuff back.
You want your stuff? In the past, there have been 2 successful ways of getting people to give you back your stuff.
One is to call their home number and talk to their parents (when it is a minor or older teen living at home). This HAS worked in the past.
The other way that has worked? Yep. You guessed it. Call the damned police and get them knocking on his door.
YOu'd be amazed at how fast people move with the threat of jail time... and FEDERAL prison time hanging over their shoulders.
Please, dude... "Man up" and call them!
Eric

Yes Caleb, he does reside in Alta Loma. I however reside in Mira Loma so I believe it would be the Alta Loma or Rancho police department that you would need to get a hold of...I don't know if anyone saw the topic above this one but I believe another person gave his address.
I'm still awaiting a call from "Xtapl". Like I said, I want to have this mess worked out as much as anyone else does which is why I am checking this board as often as possible to try and to provide some proof that I too have been screwed over by him.
