mother

Post by Brocktune »

How old is this guy? He sounds like a stupid kid that does not understand the seriousness of what he has done, nor that it is theft and he can be prosecuted for it. If someone has contact with his mother she needs to be made aware of the seriousness of the situation and that the amount of the theft from various people is in the thousands of dollars by now.

I have a list of 10 including you and myself. If you are willing to be the point person to be in contact with Mrs. Jones, then I would be more than happy to provide you with names, items and values of each broken transaction.

Please let me know and if not, then I can do this myself.

Best Wishes,

Dan Benavidez

BTW: how many have been contacted by USPS. I'm still waiting for my letter and mail fraud case #.

Yes, Wyoming. It's one of the big square states out west. No, that one's Montana... no, that one's Colorado. The one in the middle, yeah, that square state.

I WILL reply to ALL pm's because it's common courtesy... yep... courtesy.

Not sure if this is related or not, but I've just recently started doing a trade with a "gornzilla_jones" from Ontario with a zero rating. Now being a 'jones' myself I know there's a lot of us, but I was wondering if there is a way to help determine if this is the same guy. I noticed references to a gjones earlier. So far the communication has been good although I didn't receive a tracking number like I requested when he shipped yesterday. I didn't ship first and he seemed ok with that.

Any thoughts?

If I'm off on this I very humbly apologize to Gornzilla

Truly, the only way to be safe is to get a poster with 0 feedback to pay / ship first.

Those of us who've had successfull transactions can use that as leverage. It may be worth loosing the deal (pleanty of them out there) in order to avoid loosing possible 50+ dollars in goods or cash.

Also, if you have a positive feedback rating in ebay, it goes a long way to justify your request.

totally. If I've decided that I want another trader to ship first (and I don't ALWAYS do that for lower ratings... just "usually"), I will drop a deal, regardless of how nice it is if they do not ship forst. I did it with Death Weasel (he was unwilling to ship forst & I dropped any trade ideas I had with him) and it turns out to have been a good decision. It's one I stick by.
Also, if you have a positive feedback rating in ebay, it goes a long way to justify your request.
Maybe it does to YOU, but not to most of us.
As has been said to death... This isn't ebay. What you do on ebay is not a true reflection of what we can expect from you here. Additionally, lies are easy through that.
I have a 3 digit rating on eBay. I don't mention it in trading here because it's inconsequential.

Eric
Lower rating? You ship first.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Fair Enough... but it's always nice to have a little something extra to build trust with the new guy.

At any rate, we're a bit off track here, has anyone received anything back from Steve Jones' Dad yet?
