I got scammed by this guy too. Purchased in January $40 plus shipping and I got the same story about a family tragedy, stuff got lost in the mail. Now he isn't returning emails. I wonder if he could be in the middle of a move and no longer has email?

The real estate agent says she has never heard of that name and she is in constant contact with the seller.

Sorry I haven't posted an update in a while, been busy with finishing up school and finding job and sort of just forgot to contact the sales person, but yeah. She doesn't know who that person is. I wouldn't call it a scam yet until we got the full story ... and I just don't want to scare him away either.

I can understand that there can be personal issues that are waaaay more serious than $40 and a bunch of metal figures. Delays can happen too, postal foul ups are nobodies fault. That said, any respectable person would be keeping tabs on deals that are not done and trying to get them done and out of the way. I have been very patient and understanding with Mr. Kolbride but now that he isn't responding to emails and handling others here on BT in the same way he's handled my deal (with my cash in his hand) it is quite alarming.

He said that the post made good on his insurance claim with me, well why didn't he just refund me the money right then and there?

Since then, I have been sending multiple paypal money requests and emails and still haven't heard back from him. I was wondering if someone else has had a dealing with this guy recently under a different account name or even on a different site. And could a Mod try emailing him once more please?

Yes.
I have two, myself; one "Premier" (business) and one "personal."
Others, like Justin Wu (see his threas in the Hall of Shame) have created accounts under other people's names. It is not too awfully difficult.

I was just wondering for the purpose of me sending a "request for money" paypal note to the account that he supposedly owns. If you only could have one, then he would still be getting them if he uses paypal anymore. Just a little hope that I could get my side of the deal . Oh well.

A request for money wouldn't do anything for you.
PayPal doesn't pay those requests, the account owner does. So, even if you sent it, he'd have to "approve" the transaction, so-to-speak.
