Please keep this thread from denigrating into slander and hearsay. Keep to the facts, or it will be locked.

This isn't the place to bitch about TDZ, if you want to do that, take it to the several threads over at Dakka. If you have a problem with TDZ, start your own BTR and keep the comments to THE FACTS, i.e. something you can prove to be true.

I'm tired of all this garbage and I'll be glad when it's over.

I have no desire to bash Robert (TDZ). I would be more than happy to retract my quote of the Dakka post if it is deemed to be non-constructive.

I only included it because a previous poster on BTown reported (second-hand) Robert's claim that his GW rep had changed and screwed things up.

That is a guy who, IIRC is in ENGLAND (I'd think GW has more reps than that) who has a grudge against Robert.

Who says THAT GUY is even telling the truth? He could be trying to *F* Robert over even further out of anger.

I know it will not matter to most of you, but some of you will understand the weight of what I am about to say, considering my own reputation here for being wary of scammers.

I placed an order with Robert yesterday. He offered to ship first & let me pay when it arrived and I refused outright. I insisted on paying up front because I still believe in him.

...and, for the record, my order came to $191.25.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

No offense MM, but so what? You had a good experience with TDZ,I'm sure many others have too. I'm not doubting that. That doesn't make the literally dozens of problems/complaints go away.
Obviously ALL these people aren't scammers/liars. Even if HALF are true, there is a major problem here. There are ALOT of problems with TDZ. They need to be fixed,no matter what the cause.
I have nothing against the TDZ. We had a tiff in the past but its over. We both apologized and buried it. But there are alot of people owed merchandise by TDZ. If it was ANY retailer I would feel the same way. This situation needs to be cleared up. I understand TDZ had some personal tragedy, but now that its over with, hopefully this can get sorted out quickly.
I hope everyone gets what they ordered/paid for and TDZ can still do business here.

Actually, this will be my first. I'm trusting that it will be a good transaction. My point, however, was that I don't believe he's SCAMMING, as he's been accused of.
I wouldn't argue that mistakes, big ones, have been made. My point was to show that he isn't on my scam radar and I put my money where my mouth is (someone on Dakka threw that at someone who didn't jump on the "down with TDZ" bandwagon).

That doesn't make the literally dozens of problems/complaints go away.

I would never argue that point with you. it would be a losing battle. :)

I agree with the above.
Look closely, though. Count the # of unresolved issues. Although the are, granted, more than you would hope for in a retailer, much of the complaining is from the same few people (I'm not saying it's unjustified, for those who are still unresolved).
Many of the others are hangers-on and "Yes-men." The # of complaints, compared to the number of complainers, seems disproportionate.

That was my only point.
I was not actually trying to defend Robert (not a whole lot to defend, really... what's fact is fact & what's opinion is immaterial). I was simply trying to show people that there are still people (sceptics by nature) who trust Robert.

For those to whom that means nothing... then please disregard this post.

That being said, I won't post into anyones BTR threads anymore, unless I have something to say that is related to it. They shouldn't turn into discussion threads.
O.P., Sorry for the temporary thread-jack.

No,read Insidius' post again.
I'm not slandering TDZ in any way. I did not post anything that was not FACT already.
If you want rude/childish comments,go to the DAKKA thread. Its very polite here compared to whats over there.

I'm certainly NOT saying TDZ is a scammer. But there are obviously problems to be resolved.
Ok, I said my piece. I wish Robert and his customers good luck. I hope this can be cleared up to everyones satisfaction.

Insidius said one very important thing that I agree with:

There is an easy solution. Send all the merchandise that is owed with Priority 3 day and tracking. If you cannot for some reason get the items, then give a full refund. That will probably stop the threats/harrassment,etc.

I know this is ole, but you guys should all take note; we have confirmed that The Drop Zone is now operating as Drop Zone Games.
Robert kind of fell off our radar for a while, but he's been spotted at GenCon wearing a name tag for Drop Zone Games.
I don't know what reputation he has as Drop Zone Games, but we know what it was as TheDropZone.
I'll steer clear, personally.
