I cant't post this on the Refs as it does no look like he has a acount with bartertown.

I was to buy some LOTR models from him for $75 so I sent him a money order and after almost three weeks he does not reply to emails, and my box has not arrived.

He emailed me on a add I had posted. But I never thought to check to see if he had a account on bartertown.

I have about 8 emails from him all back and forth that is all other then the copy of my money order I sent. If that is not enough proof not sure what else I can post here.

I know there is nothing anyone here or anywhere else can do about this I just wanted to make sure no one else has this problem with Cole. I have feed back from late 1999 (old email Wdwarf@yadtel.net) so I have been trading here for almost 6 years and I can count on one hand how many bad feed backs I have left. So I am not tring to "Get Someone" here just want to keep anyone else from having this problem with the same person.

I am posting a link to this in the thread on Crystal, with a recommendation to anyone scammed by her to contact her local police and, if they have contactedthe police already... to do so again.

Thanks for that info.

I found the home phone number and the same address for a Jonathan Henry. I have that number and I have been calling butno answer as of yet. (have not tried today yet).

I will check the other post but the number i have is (573) 426-5269 for anyone that has this problem. After reading the other tread I think it is the same person also. I will be contacting them again and the police today about this.

WTF is wrong with people. All I can say is Fill out the FBI and the Postal Inspector forms. They helped me, I finaly got my stuff after about 3months and a visit from the local police. Contact your local police, they will contact her/his local police. I can imagin that they will get tired of visiting her/him. Good luck, and stay on top of this and you just may get your stuff.

Apparently he learned not to do business under his wifes name, or his own. Mabe this is his middle name.

Curious thing - I dealt with him back in late Aug. Bought some WarMachine Cyngar. Good communications, he sent first, completely and promptly. He seemed completely on the up-and-up. Apparently I was lucky.

All it takes is a little research to find out what branch his local police is.

Or you can wait for the authorities to do it and wait even longer for all the red tape.

Not to argue but Right, I contacted the rolla police department, and was redirected to file a report with my local police department, and they would forward the info to them. (I was told that they could not take reports over the phone this way, I could be wrong but that is what I was told, by her local police)

Well, 'Sid can tell you from experience that it IS possible for PD's to take reports over the phone.

That should be your Second step... the first being a file with the USPS.

Contact them over the phone and ask for an internet crime department or something. Perhaps that can help.

I'm going to, admittedly, make some assumptions here. I'm going to assume certain ideas that are facts in MY line of work. I'm in banking.

If you want to know the answer to a banking related question, as far as how certain things are processed, hold times, etc., call your local branch. If you call the generic toll free number, the people you get on there are NOT branch employees. they are trained to handle specific things. Ninety-nine percent of them do NOT have branch experience and are relying on what other half0wits are telling them.

I would presume the same to be true for report filing in the PD. Joe Beatwalker doesn't know how the Internet Crimes Dept. handles their cases. Where he cannot take a report over the phone (for, say, domestic assault), perhaps the 'Net Crimes Dept CAN take one over the phone since the Net is so big, the person harmed would be anywhere.

Bear in mind that the above is pure supposition, based on a little knowledge and a little common sense.

Try insisting. Ask for a detective... or a supervisor of some sort. You never know.

Remember that a little politeness and respect goes a LONG way with law enforcement. They are used to people treating them like Bad Guys. Treat them like Good Guys. Pucker up slightly (though not enough to be obvious). You never know.

Just an update. I posted a bad trader reff a while back on crystals e-mail, but when I went to post one on jonathans account I got a reply that the e-mail I provided didnt have a bartertown account?
