BTR: iron warrior lord

Post by porkuslime »

My experience with iron warrior lord has been a bad trade experience. When references go live again, my plan is to leave negative feedback. If he gets in contact with me and we manage to finalize and swap this trade, that should change. However, since I have heard nothing from him in approximately a month, I do not foresee this changing.

Hiyas.. I have, 8 or 10 cloaks for GG.. the ones that look like giant leaves, right?

I am dearly looking for *1* Tyranid Genestealer Feeder Tendril head. If you don't have that, I also could use unbuilt Tyranid Warriors, .. or.. SM beakie Heads, or any Sisters of Battle.. (esp special weapons troops)

Any luck?

well.. shoot! I would trade my gg cloaks for as many of the tendril heads as you want to send me.. I have local guys who also need those heads, and that will bulk up my tradebox.

I don't need tyranid warrior heavy weapons, I could use Tyranid warrior bodies though.. lol.

I have also verified that I have 10 of those cloaks (and 1 torso for some reason)..

Giving you another poke about those feeder tendril heads for my glade guard cloaks.

Have you been able to post the parcel, or raise the cash to post the stuff? I cannot imagine it would cost too much to post heads.. but.. you would know better than I.

some of them are for a brood.. maybe the bodyguard of a broodlord (which I am trying to scratchbuild, cause I don't like the metal one)..

one head is dedicated for the last Lictor I am making.. using the body of a Tyranid Warrior, the Giant Scything Claws from a Carnifex, and the Feeder Tendril Head..

I am trying to get an "all plastic" Tyranid army..

good luck with it, yeah i never really prefered the broodlord pose either
well LMK when they get to you !
thanks again
At this point, he stopped returning PM's.. but my further PMs (below) have all migrated from the Out Box to the Send Box within 24 hours of me sending them. I also started clicking on his nic, to see when he "was last online" and there were times when he visited the site, daily.

So, I started to follow up..

just following up.. at this point, no heads have arrived. Thus, no cloaks have been mailed.

Your note above implied that they have been mailed, and I saw you read the last inquiry on mailing (at least, it moved from Out to Sent box).. so an update would be nice..

well.. you have certainly had the chance to read my PM's.. I am able to see that you seem to be frequently on the site, and yet you have not replied. At this point, unless I hear from you say, in 3 days, by Tueday at noon, Eastern US, I will be filing a Bad Trader report thread.

You may have mailed the heads and they are in transit, but not taking the time to talk to me and explain what is going on has really been the major aggravation.

This is still salvageable, if you have the feeder heads. I need them, you offered them for my Glade Guard cloaks, we agreed .. then after the 14th of August you stopped responding to my notes. If you still have them, I still want them. Call it a major hiccup in shipping, but at least lets try to resolve this.

Let me re-iterate.. I only plan on opening a BTR if you do NOT respond to me.. if communication re-opens and we can re-work this, that is to both of our advantages.

-Jim
I will be sending him a PM with a link to this BTR.. with any luck this might get resolved.

Plus, I now see that on Sept 02, 2008, he posted a Want Ad for Eldar Terrain.. so he has not had any issues with getting onto this site and posting.

Hey Porkuslime
Iam most apoligetic for any bother i have given you througout this trade, but i will explain everything as this is what you deserve, ( none of this is an excuse but true happenings ), well to start of with I should take every right to say im sorry, well as i said half way through this trade i had recieved some tendril heads from a friend ( in which everything went smoothly at first ), but hesitation came from him when he found out I was trading them and for some reason he didnt like this and took all the ones he added from me, ( not a great friend ), and worst came still as my work shifts changed from all night hours to daily hours meaning any time on my comp was limited ( and i know this is no excuse as i added some topics, the only prob I wanted to sort this issue out with my friend before I could continue this trade ), and i guess i didnt want to be added to the BTF, ( big mistake i guess now :( ), so at the current position i only have 3 heads left ( some of the original i had were my friends ( *edit* ) ), I hope porkuslime can understand that the only reason i didnt reply is that i didnt want to disappoint ( guess it was inevitable ), Im very sory for all of this, i never wanted to push it this far, if you like you can have the heads for free as a way to say sorry, and for letting you down, i will except full responsibility for all of this !
Thankyou for your time
Sorry again !!!!!!

See, now... I'm not going to comment on the actual situation at hand.
I'm not going to say what you were wrong about or HOW wrong you were. You know that sh** already.

What I *AM* going to say is **THAT** is how you f***ing MAN UP and face the truth.
Whatever problems there MAY be, you deserve props for manning up and admitting fault. Too many people won't do that today.

Before anyone slams me... I know he could have done it sooner.
Keep in mind, though... he didn't *have* to do it at ALL.

IWL... Use this as a lesson. Better to be communicative and disappoint someone than to ignore them and make them mad.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

I would like to bring up that Iron warrior has been nothing but polite with me thus far in a trade that should conclude within the next two weeks (over seas shipping time gap). I will report how this ends but I don't see it ending in anything other than satisfaction.

I was waiting for a full month to pass to comment, but since his promise to send some heads.. I have not heard a peep from him.. "Manning Up!" did not seem to extend of anything beyond words.

It has now been 6 weeks since Iron warrior lord stated that he would be willing to send those heads I needed. No luck. I now intend to post a BTR for him in the near future.

I have since found the parts I was waiting months for, but there is no excuse for him to come here, apologize, offer to make up for the deal, and then never follow thru on the make-up offer.

To say I am disappointed, is stating it mildly.
