im getting used to bartertown and i enjoy it very much (so just a shout out to the moderators and creators of b-town-your work here is much appreiciated)

but i was just wondering how the batrertown rankings are created etc? (e.g. b-town regular, journeyman trader, novice etc?)

is there some sort of chart or something you guys can provide me with so i can see how many trades i have to do to get to a certain point etc??

thankyou all!

Its based on the number of posts you make.

I think it goes by post count instead of actual Trade Rating. I remember I was an Apprentice Trader well into my 150's simply because I did not post much..

Thought I saw this somewhere on the site.

They are based on total post count. Yes, if you delete the older posts (which we appreciate but the system does automatically anyway) your ranking will not increase. If you do it, your post count stays low. If the system does it, it is considered "pruning" and the post count increases appropriately

Operating from memory...and then looking it up, we have:
New Trader (0)
Trade Novice (20)
Apprentice Trader (35)
BTown Regular (50)
Journeyman Trader (100)
Resident Trader (300)
Expert Trader (500)
Millenium Trader (1000)

These in no way reflect ITL ratings. We have the capacity, as you've seen, to supercede the default rankings with special titles.

I assume they haven't changed since then.

Excellent search-fu.

(Despite what it might look like, this wasn't a spam post to boost my rank up to resident trader. Or was it...)
