I got an email notification and a notification here that a very old, dead topic got a new post.

Last post is 2013.

It says that GearHead replied. Yet he has no posts on the topic.

Nah. He deleted his post immediately after leaving it.

If no one has read a post/comment in a conversation thread, the user can sometimes delete it immediately after leaving it.

So it sent you an email, but when you checked, the comment was already gone.

Ok. I thought when he did that it would show either edited or deleted.

We see on our side when it is deleted, which is the only reason I know what happened.

But yeah, it's all good
