Malicious advertising

Post by jestor »

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. The last couple of days a malicious ad from this site has tried to redirect me and install stuff. It would be sweet if that wouldn't happen. Thanks!

It's not us, jestor. We were just recently scanned. We're clean.
You might want to be sure you have protective software installed and scan your system.

It only happens on this site. It is the same as the other poster. You think it's coincidence that we are both getting the same malicious ad?

I get this too and it happens on my phone. It ONLY happens when I come to btown.
About me:
1. GW retail doesn't equal value if you intend to sell me assembled/stripped/primed/painted items. These all devalue them and anyone can get 20-30% off GW retail NIB.
2. If I take the time to write you please be kind enough to at least tell me no or not interested.
3. Lowest reference ships first

Somethings up.
*notes about trading with me…
I do not like drawn out deals. Id like to have a deal signed and complete within 48 hours.
I abide by the unwritten rules… lower rating ships first pays first.
I always provide delivery confirmation and expect the same.
All deals are US only.

It isn't the site, folks.
It's your provider/network/etc. on your phone. You don't get these when you visit the site no a computer. Right?
Only on phones.
The only point of similarity between all these is that you're on your phone.

I don't visit BT on my phone, but I do visit numerous other sites, search Google, etc. When I do??? Pop ups. All the time... and my phone's clean.

At this point I feel like you don't understand that malicious things can effect a phone and a computer differently. If a bunch of people are having the same problem and if all the problems happen on phones, you now have a good correlation to work with. Blaming the people using phones when a bunch of people have the same problem is pretty bad.

I think you don't know what I understand.
And please don't think I'm blaming those who are using the phones. I never said it was their fault.

Still happening. I still see the ads on the bottom of both my home computers; desk top and lap top.
Monday when I logged on on my phone it was instantly hijacked.
