Heartfelt Plea
Please help me fill the schedule for July. We’re ready when you are.
Another Thought on Professional Painting
There's an epidemic of unpainted armies out there and the topic of professional painting services, and the attendant issues of price, quality and turnaround, are going to come up more and more. Professional painters are already a part of the gaming community; they are already hobbyists, the professional part growing naturally out of what they love to do. The next stage is that some (like me) will form full-blown operations (good grief, Blue Table is now Incorporated and now gainfully employs like ten people, how did it ever get to this?). But at heart we'll still be gamers.

Have Blue Table assemble and paint your figures and you will get more out of your gaming time. Models are assembled the week before they get painted.
Attached is a Painting Schedule so you can see where your project fits in, or where you could have a project done. Right now, things are booked out just over two weeks. That’s not very far. Remember, models have to arrive, get organized and assembled.
Happenings at the Studio
Warhammer Fantasy is swinging back into activity. I’m doing a Treekin army (Wood Elf list, with all forest spirits). Andy is just finishing a Wood Elf army, and Thayne has a few new units in his Dwarfs. Jon G., a new painter, is firmly established now and he and his wife were out looking for a permanent home here in Spanish Fork over the weekend. Jason S. is still in Norway finishing up his College capstone project, he’ll be back in a few weeks. We are also creating a painting standards document, more on that in a few weeks.
Hordes and War Machine on Special
During July 2006 Blue Table will acquire your Privateer Press models for 40% off. Please mention the July special from this update.
New Hordes Spreadsheets are going up in our Downloads section. I’ve done some market research and it’s clear that we need to bring the Warpack price (all told- models, assembly, painting) down to around $125.
New on the Block

Check the New Releases section. There are four Warhammer Giants. When this kit came out I bought eight of them and challenged each Artist to convert and paint something original. Some have been sold but four are still left.
· Dark Elf Slave Giant
· Cursed Nurgle Sword Giant
· Slave Giant in Chains
· Devil Giant
· Norse Giant
· <I> Giant (still to be painted)
· People Eating Cyclops Giant
· Hideous Mutated Giant
Personal
Tamie and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 this weekend, but it was sold out so we went to see Superman Returns. It was all right, but I realized that I would really just rather watch movies in my own home.
We had a barbecue this week, inviting some new families from the neighborhood. The mother of one family is confined to a wheelchair after an injury in a drive-by shooting in Southern California. Welcome to Utah! It’s a good place to be.
