What should I do here?
Hello Bartertowners...
I have conducted a trade in favour (quite heavily) of a member of this forum with 110+ positive feedback, now, I trust this guy, as he has confirmed his ID through two seperate forums, here, and Warseer. I, as a mark of good will and because I knew it was unlikely that he would scam me, jepordising 110+ positive feedback shipped first. Now, the member did say he received that parcel, and has been able to give me a proof-of-posting date of the 22nd of last month. The package has not arrived since. Now, I'm not claiming that this guy has spammed me, as his comunications have been good, his tone very freindly, and overall he is a great guy, the trade has been perfect accept the item has not arrived in almost 4 weeks. I would hae expected it to arrive in two weeks as he shipped arimail to the UK on the beformentioned 22nd of last month.
What should I do? I dont want to cancel the trade, as I want the items I traded for (Forgeworld BT stuff), and I dont want to jepordise his feedback if its the postal services fault.
Thankyou for any advice.
PS: I did not enter that traders name for privacy reasons, and I didn't want to jepordise his 110+ feedback rating...

If he provided proof of havng sent the item, then it was sent. for now, all you can do is wait and see when it arrives. Where was it sent from/to.
I saw you said airmail to the UK. But customs can and will likely always be a pain in the arse.

I've shipped and received from the U.K. about a dozen times or so. When things go right, the package usually takes about qo days to arrive. However, if customs decides to get their greasy mits into it, or if the Postal Service in the U.K. misplaces it(happened twice so far) you could be looking at all kinds of delay. I had a package that was misplaced for 6 months, 1 misplaced for two months, one held at customs for 2 weeks, and one held in customs until the person who it was shipped to claimed it. Apparently, while opening the package the lable was destroyed.

I'd give it a couple more weeks before filing that.
What method did he use?
Some methods take 4-7 WEEKS!

Lower rating? You ship first.
Give me a sense of humor Lord. Give me the grace to see a joke.
To get some humor out of life and pass it on to other folk.
I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Want my help with a BTR or backout? All messages sent/posted should be in CHRONOLOGICAL order. Otherwise, I just won't read it.

Actually this reminds me of a similar situation that happened a few months back. To make a very long story short, the guy ended up sending the package to the US via sea mail. I think it took about 2 months to arrive. Either way, over seas shipping via plane or boat may take a very long time. I've sent letters overseas to see them arrive in three days. So there is no true time-frame when sending packages. I suggest you keep waiting.
Find out what method he used to ship and what the estimated delivery time is typically for that method. I wouldn't wait on filing a lost package. A lost package case takes forever to get resolved(if it does-they typically only will if you purchased insurance) and it's best to get it started A.S.A.P. Filing a lost package report won't suggest anything negative on the shipper, and if it indeed did get lost no one will be looking for it until you complain. I used to work for the Postal Service, and for every 4 conscientious employees there is a dumbass who will put your box down and forget about it. Your report is what gets the conscientious folks picking up dumbasses slack
