For people who've been ripped off by Barnard...

His friend Nurglesplague has passed along a request that Justin Barnard be allowed back onto these boards in order to gether a list of the people he's ripped off and make amends with them.
Should I unban him? I leave the decision to the Bartertown community.
No way.

Nurglesplague IS Barnard and any request to be readmitted is simply a ruse in some dishonest scheme.
If you look at the one topis, he signed a post as Scott, then later signed one as Steve... or Vice Versa... I forget who is supposed to be whom.
Nurglesplague has access to all the stuff "Barnard" needs and can forward it. After all, he claims that they are brothers, IIRC.

Dear Lin:
Let his Name be set forth on to the eternal scroll of the banned.
For once your name has been scrolled it can not be unwritten.
Just my 2 cents worth , or is it 50 cent nowadays?
Keep up the Good Work.

Let him back ONLY if he's getting in contact with people to get them their stuff back. After that, THEN ban him.

Is he just banned from making an account, or banned from viewing the site at all?
If it's the former, why not just make an 'Attention Justin Barnard' thread. Everyone who wants to hear from him can post an email address for him to contact them at.
If it's the latter and he can't see the site at all, perhaps nuglesplague would be willing to give Justin's preferred email address (or phone number) and people who want to contact him can do so.
In either case, is there any reason this stuff can't be handled via email, rather than on bartertown?
EdIt: If Justin really desires to make things right, i don't think there is any reason to make it hard for him to do so. I'm just not sure why he would need to be able to post to the boards. Being able to make (public) statements isn't going to do anything to resolve the (private) issues. He needs to contact the people he dealt with privately and make arrangements with each of them individuallly. It's possible he doesn't know who these people are or how to get in touch with them. That can be solved by either of the methods i mentioned.
MagickalMemories: you're confusing your bad traders. Scott/Steve is someone up in Canada. Justin's off in Wisconsin. I'm pretty sure there's no connection between those two.
Oops.

Totally my bad.
I'm getting Nurglesplague confused with What_the_F..._is_frunk from the Wood_Elf thread.
Sorry about that confusion, nurglesplague.
I still vote NO, though.

I'm confused, can't he read all the stuff about him without access to posting?
Shouldn't he already have the contact info for his former trades, if nothing else the retun address on the boxes of everyone that traded with him.
Finally, what is to stop him from just getting a new account and causing mayhem. I do not understand his need to get at his old account.
As for the banning, I believe he broke some serious rules and has treated people poorly, thus earning his ban. I would almost say that it should be left up to the people he cheated, but only after he has made right by them.
Just my 2 cents, or is it 50 cents nowadays(thats a good one, I'm gonna start using it).

I believe in giving people a second chance. However I also believe you are out after 3 strikes. From the sounds of it hes struck out.
If he wants to make things right someone should post an announcement to let his victims know how to get a hold of him so that he can "make amends". But IMHO I think he should remain on the bad apple list.
