Bartertown UK trouble

Post by Scytale »

I'm sorry but I'm kindda in a hurry to resolve this situation asap and I thought this would be as good a place as any to ask. If this thread is in the wrong board I apologize and politely ask mods to move it. And not suspend my account. :p

So, I've been visiting bTownUK once or twice every month because I live in Europe and trading with European blokes saves me so much hassle with customs it's worth paying up to 10% more for stuff. I found a sweet deal from a British bloke and was eagerly waiting for his reply, but apparently I've been banned from the site. When I try to visit it, I just get a huge 'account suspended' message and that's it. I can't even contact anyone about it and I'm 100% sure it's some sort of a mistake. I mean...I didn't even post anything there for ages, all I did was send 2 PMs to the guy selling some Mercs and I'm 110% sure there's absolutely nothing there that could get me banned. =/

If anyone knows site admin or someone that can help me, please contact him or give me his eMail address or something. I'm really eager to get this resolved as quickly as possible or if nothing else, get a reason why my account was suspended. Because I sure as heck can't think of a single one. My user name there was Scytale as well.

Thanks in advance, S
A little something I noticed lately...people seem to put black paint over a painted model and sell it as 'primed'. The next time my brake fluid reveals my 'primed' model had several layers of paint on it, some genius will get a negative ref. Play fair blokes...

Lower rating ships/pays first and all the usual stuff.

And please, take those 3 seconds to reply to my PMs. A simple 'no' would do, anything more is always greatly appreciated.

Neverming it's sorted out now. Lock please.

If it seems to have sorted itself out there, without an Admin getting involved, you should PM one of the site staff over there. It might be that someone was banned by IP, and they happen to share an IP you sometimes use. Otherwise, this issue might pop up for you again. I've seen it happen here.

Lower rating? You ship first.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

Scytale,

Incredibly sorry about the mixup here. I did indeed ban someone by IP who was spamming the forum with adverts for Viagra (an unfortunate secondary result of a phishing attack I've just sorted out). I have now lifted the IP ban. If you get blocked again, drop me an email at admin[at]bartertownuk[dot]com.

Hope this helps, and, sorry again

Regards

Ralph.

No trouble at all, I feel like I should apologize now for making such a fuss.

Thanks for sorting out everything so fast, I was able to log in normally a day after it happened.

Cheers, S
