They were something about getting 500 dollars in cash to spend at online casinos with links to different sites. also something about ham and cheese with links to various porn sites.

There are spammers who periodically post on various boards. The text raelt makes sense and often quote previous posts in an odd fashion.
I've seen messages like
"Now I understand the true power of Newby"
"Maybe you should think more about bolter"
"I'm a lonely space marine"
and my favorite
"I like jagavahn in my oatmeal"
The funny thing is that I've only seen them on gaming boards. Most have links to other sites to generate traffic.
