I seem to be having a problem recieving PM's. At least twice in the past 2 days I've gotten the email saying that I had a new PM, but lo and behold...nothing was there. I see this question pop up on occasion, but I haven't been able to find any old posts about it to answer my questions.

Why does this happen? Is there really a PM for me and it disappeared? It's really frustrating to think that I'm missing messages about trades and the like.

I'd have PM'd this to the admins, but if this is a consistent problem then I don't know that I'd be able to see their response....

well i do know that you can unsend a PM if its unread...

One thing that I wish is that we'd recieve PM notification emails for feedback recieved *hint* *hint*

I haven't gotten anything from you yet, A8.

Likely that your PM box is full - there should be an indicator on the upper right side of the window where you look at the PMs you have. If it says 100% then you're topped out and have to delete old PMs.

PS nitsky - I get a PM note every time I get or leave feedback.

Nitsky was refering to getting an Email saying that he's received a new PM. IE if someone leaves Feedback for him, it automatically PM's him, which automatically sends him an Email saying that he's got new Feedback.

And I could be wrong, but I thought this was already in place. I'll look for it the next time I get feedback, but I could have sworn I was getting an email notice on EVERY PM - even Feedback PMs.

I get a PM note too, but I don't get an email notification of the PM :/

I'm only at 73%, so that's not it.

Also, while I did get a PM note for feedback today (but did not recieve the email notification to go with it), I recieved some feedback over the weekend that was not accompanied by a PM, so it just got dropped for some reason.

I'll let you know if this happens again.

Ok, here's the deal.

You are allowed:
200 Inbox Messages
50 Sentbox Messages (these are messages which have been sent but not read by the other guy)
100 Save Box Messages

Check your Sentbox.


The issue was that we're tied at the hip to Warhammer40k.com. If you have an account here, you have the same login/password at Warhammer40k.com and the same inbox. I had the settings over there at 40k.com set different than the ones at Bartertown so you were probably getting emailed by them. I made the settings all the same here and there (listed above).

Let me know if that fixes it.

i wondered why i had recieved and email from them and it pointed me to my bartertown pm box that was skinned black and gold.
