Hello fellow Bartertowners. I was just wondering if there are other sites out there that yall know of similar to Bartertown. I'm by no means saying I don't like Bartertown, I love this site, but I was just wondering what other venues there are. I'd like to see some more boardgames for sale, etc.

I already know about BoardGameGeek too. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!

What kind of board games are you looking for? Post a want ad and you will probably get some hits. I know most of longer term gamers here have piles of old games but don't list them because takers are far less common and we don't want to clutter up the board. But if you ask, you'll almost definitely get a hit.

most forums usually have a trade section, but IIRC none have a referinging program like bartertown does, that is why it is sooo popular. i referr people to it all the time, even when i make trades off another forum, i refer them to b town to get them started and tell them its the best way to track trade refs.

the other trade area i use is www.warseer.com and they have a trading area, but for refs, they have a good traders thread you would have to search through.

http://www.adeptuswindycity.com/ is a site Chicago-area gamers. They have a trading section, which is nice - no shipping involved! Just meet somewhere and swap stuff. I'm a member of a couple of boards for small gaming groups in the area as well, but those are more 'members-only' than general trading.

the only other boards I even come close to frequenting are:

http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/ Space Marine race forum. Less trading, more tactics and discussion. Has been down for a week or so now, unfortunately.

http://www.the-waaagh.com/forums/ Ork race forum. Again, less trading more tactics modeling and general discussion.
