Bartertown.com

All right, forgive me for my ignorance, but I have just been wierded out, and I think something might be wrong.

I sent a private message to a trader here on Bartertown in response to their ad. The trader sent a reply back. The problem is that I got an email notification from www.warhammer40k.com that I had a private message, not from Bartertown. This would not be that big of a deal except I have never heard of, been to, or created an account on www.warhammer40k.com, yet was able to log in using my Bartertown ID and password. For a second there I was worried that the Evil Empire of Games Workshop had taken over our beloved Bartertown.

Am I the "victim" of a glitch, or is there something going on?

yes, the two have some crossover now in terms of membership and forums. I'm not sure if it's been fully integrated (I'm sure the guys in charge will pipe in and correct me), but it's been about a month since that process started. I think it just matters which forum they were logged into when the message was sent. So the messages from you look like they're from bartertown. Probably freaks them out too.

what i think sucks, if you look at total post count in the memberlist. :shock:
