Subject: Bartertown Sales Increase‏

I’m a real person not a spammer.

I found your email on Bartertown using a new proprietary software that can extract
the email addresses and telephone numbers of people that have been to any website.

Using this software you can go to any website and extract the email address and
telephone number of the people that have gone there. The system will then
automatically convert the information to an excel file and email or call (or both)
the people. (at no cost to you).

Just think of the amount of quality email address and telephone numbers that you
can extract from websites that command high volume traffic.( Lowermybills.com –
homedepot.com - Remax.com or any website you choose.)

This system can provide you with contact information for what ever product or
service that you are selling and give you a steady stream of customers at no cost.

I would like to demonstrate the system to you. The software is legal and
compliant. And very inexpensive – really.
Even if you don’t buy it you’ll want to see it to believe it.

If you are interested in see a demo of this software please just hit the reply
Button and email me your name and telephone number and
a good time to call. I will give you a ten minute on line demonstration. (so have a
computer ready).

Thanks,

Cliff

This is the second report I've seen of this.

Whatever you do, do not respond. God only knows what shenanigans this guy's up to.
Also, don't ever post your email address on any web site. This is the exact reason why. Someone gets a software program that scrapes your email address off of public posts and *Bam!* "You've got Mail."

Eric

[Edit] I checked your registered email with the site, noted it, and ran a google search for it. I found one post with it in there. Same as with the other guy.

(START Sarcasm)

I don't know, seems like such an honest guy. And I have SO MUCH stuff to sell on Bartertown, I could use the sales increase. I mean, really, think of ALL THE MONEY I could make with this guy's software!

(END Sarcasm)

I never post my e-mail addy's. That was a Cut-n-Paste that slip past. I did deliberately post his e-mail addy though.

Oh, yes. I think that cliff@letmeleadtheway.com will probably be added to a LOT of various email subscriptions very soon.

I've never posted it here before. It did come from a different email address than you fellas have([Admin Edit: Wrong Guy]) but it's got to be him.
Pete
Even *IF* he successfully scraped our site (didn't happen!), he couldn't have gotten info we didn't get?
Was it from this same email address? Did he say he got your info from BTown?
The guy that's spamming people from here actually wrote his email well, and didn't try hawking all that crap, just his software.

More than likely, I'm thinking it's a coincidence that they had the same first name.
