Heh heh,

Two guys swapped stamps, valued at 3M$US on each side.

One guy sent:
1x Stamp, 3M$US value

The other:
1x Stamp sheet (4x stamps on it), 3M$US value

Read it here:

Can we beat that, BTown?

Bruno.

I wonder what the total value of items traded on this site is. I know there is that slot where you fill in an etimated value at the end of a trade report, it would be interestingto see that info gathered up and presented. If you think about it Bartertown has been around for quite a few years now so I wouldn't be suprised to find out we are over 1 million dollars traded.

this site has had to have had well more than a million retail in trade value over the years traded here.

but the value IIRC hasnt always been there, way back when it was the original ITL i dont think that was a feature.

I ran the stats recently and Btown has more GW for sale in sheer $$$ volume than Ebay (something on the average order of 35% by game system). No word on other stuff, but as far as I am concerned it's far better for us to be moving hordes of secondhand GW than other items.

We f*ckin' rock. :-)

The only thing your stats won't say is that the 1 millon$US worth of GW stuff moving around on BTown is the same Pro-painted Biel-Tan Wraithlord, the lightly painted Land Raider Crusader and the 8,650 Dark Eldar Warriors on-sprue that keep being traded from person to person, week after week!

they might be changing hands alot but the post office is making the money and not GW.

Actually, that's 8,654 Dark Eldar Warriors on Sprue. Though more to the point, I compared the first page of posts in each relevant Btown forum to an equivalent search on eBay. Unlike many, when I do stats they don't lie. Mark Twain must be rolling in his grave.  8)
