Low priority idea

Okay.
I was just thinking, upon looking at one of Steve Jones' recent ads.
Many web sites put titles under peoples names (Steve, for example, has "Account Terminated" LOL). Usually, these titles are dependent upon how many total posts you have.
I think it would be cool to have something like that here.
I know Mods & Admin have UNIQUE quotes... I don't mean those... I just mean some kind of a generic title system based on Total posts.
It'd make us feel special!

This could be done, but I warn you...
I'd have NUwisha and MB come up with the title names.
Also, we've stayed away from doing that so that it would be easier to identify the moderators and admins from everyone else - not to mention the bad apples.
However, if enough people like this idea I can certainly implement it.

Well, what I had in mind might be able to be in addition to the Mods titles.
I presume it would be possible (and, or course, YOU are the one who would know LOL) to do it.

See how there is a "Group" line? The mods all say Moderator, while the regular members have "members."
Some neat things could be done with this.
1) Groups could be Mods, Admin and Members. There was talk of offering a special "fee based" membership here, in addition to the free ones. A paying Member could have that denoted in that spot, as well.
2) Mods could still have their special titles, while members get generic titles, based on post count (every hundred, or whatever, gets you to a new title level. Of course, paying members could even have different titles.
3) Another option on titles is that Mods/Admin have colored text, while Members just have black.
4) Special contests or whatever could have "custom BTown title" as a reward or something.
Just some thoughts.

I Kind of Agree with Magickals Idea on this, I know HCRealms and their Sister Boards Have / Had this kind of system integrated into it. Paying (Contributing) Members got to pick out their own little Tag lines to add to thier Names while the rest of the Non-Contributing board cronies

got to ask how they got the unique Tagline and ranking system next to their Name. I know this cause I was one of those Non-Contributing board cronies at one point.
I Believe they also had a "Membership" Status to the said paying (contributing) members that said what kind of contributor you were. For Example, Bronze was the Lowest Stat. being say $10.00 while Platinum was the Highest being ... we'll say $100.00 and above or something. There could be some great potential with this kind of system, Using the contributions as prize payment for contests, labeling traders as good or bad without having to keep looking through the Bad Trader threads and whatnot.
There ought to be a Big Red stamp on these bad traders saying "Rip Off Artist Right Here, Do Not Trade With" or something along that line to help the Newbies and fellow good traders.

i think i posted something on these lines before, i would like to see this as a feature as well.
after all its sorta like the older ones who hang out here over the years are who get some of the noobs straightened out, and alot of the older traders help with finding the bad traders as well. not to mention info on anything from gaming, paint stripping, trade questions and so on.
www.warseer.com and
www.talkbloodbowl are 2 sites i visit regularly and they have the same things you mentioned and talk blood bowl, thier site is set up pretty much looks wise at least, the same way as this one.

Very well, in the (paraphrased) words of our Illustrious Leader, "This Adam Commands!"
So, I make it happen.

thanks alot, but one question now, does the title subject the trade rating or the post count? one for each and located in respective areas would be cool as well.
