BOB BICKELS...

I am looking for Bob Bickels. 4 months ago I sent him two models via standard mail. I know that this is not the proper way to look for him, but I have exhausted almost all of my options to find him.
If ANYONE knows how or where to contact him, please let me know. I would VERY much like to find him, as I am interested in my return in this deal, and wanna know whats up.
Thanks for any help. Phillip Corrie

I have been waiting 6 months for mine.... He is a slippery son of a gun and I have reached my wits end with him as well.... This should probably go in the misc. messages though

I have had 2 dealings with mister Gibbs, the first one he shipped his items first and i received them... but he said he did not received the item (a limited edition tombking BSB) i shipped.. In good faith (i had another) i shipped him a second BSB.. later about 5-6 weeks ago he offered to purchase a painted basilisk from me for 25.00 + a LOTR treebeard.. he said he shipped the item but has no tracking number (he had a tracking number for the first trade we made and was very upset that i couldn’t get a tracking number in return to Canada) he has sense contacted me asking if i have received the item.. upon replying to him that i have not and he should check with the post office he shipped from.. he has dropped off communication. I have not received his items.. nor have i shipped the basilisk off in return.. but after reading several negative posts on him I’m wandering if my good faith in our first trade was misplaced.

I too have had bad dealings with Nick. I sent him a mini to be painted(one only, and I am really glad only one). He said that he shipped, but the item never arrived. I made several attempts to contact him, but no reply.
That was the first transaction for me on bartertown and it scared me off for a while. I've since found two more reliable painters(Mason, Fred thanks)
On a side. I have dealt with many people in Canada, both individuals and companies. I have never had shipping take more then 10 days. It is not difficult to document things properly for customs. Much like the US post office, they have those (almost) idiot proof forms that explain everything so a 2 year old can fill them out

You folks should definitely check out the Bad Traders section! There IS a thread on Nick.
I had the fortune of being one of his SUCCESSFUL trades early on. To be quite honest, I believe that he came on here & tried a few things out to see JUST how much he could get away with, then used that knowledge for one final mass-scam.
Many people, as mentioned above (like me) had problems with his items not arriving on time (or at all). I managed to "coerce" him into shipping mine (I got the old "I shipped it," then, when the item arrived, the post date was AFTER he said he'd shipped it... I just never had any proof -- those PM's were deleted).
Contact your local authorities, etc.
Even over ONE mini... If he got 10 people for 1 or 2 minis each, that's 10 - 20 minis. The shi... err... Stuff adds up!

Well, if that is the case, then the jokes on him. I insured it for about 1,000.00. Thats mail fraud, Grand Theft, and I am not to sure about this, but I am pretty sure that Canadian Customs does not like being made to look the part of fools. Hope he enjoys his time, cause I am contacting them, and will see what legal prosecutive efforts I can make. Mr. Bickels if you read this, please contact me.

Well, some of us have had good to average dealings with him. I think it was a set up to arrange a BIG heist.
By all means, post the address you have, and phone number if you happen to have it. Or, ANYONE who might have it!
I would ask that any Canadian traders who feel so inclined might want to look Nick up and remind him of his obligations.
No, in fact, I am NOT advocating violence or any threat thereof.
...and don't do anything stupid and risk your health.
