Yep.. you read it right.

Bartertown now has a section for Discussions.. Gaming, Modeling, and general off-topic-ness.

viewforum.php?f=105

Please.. take a look and let us know what you might like to change, or what we did right!

At least we know where all of the space went after trimming things back...

Does / can this replace the warhammer40k.com? If not, why not? It seems to me a waste to duplicate the two.

Also, can we add the feature which makes Forum groups collapse via +/- buttons? With the expanded front page, that'd be nice.

After searching the ACP and not finding a feature matching your description, if you can find the phpBB mod and link it, I'm sure we can get Adam to add it in.

Great suggestion! :-)

I know Simple Machines (SMF 1.1.12) has it. Also MyBB.

For phpBB, see here: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 6&start=15

It's Beta code

John, the "taking up space" issue is one we went back & forth on. Thanks for finding that MOD.

As for the WH40K.com site, details are still unspecified at this time. There are things behind the scenes (No. Not C&D's) that are really just not able to be discussed at this time.

Thanks!

Eric

@Eric: Glad to help. The easier for the user to navigate / filter / manage Btown information, the better, IMO.

OK, no problem.

What were your first wargame figures? What do you remember most about them?

My figures were plastic Arabs and French Foreign Legion. They were 54mm or larger. I was with my mother walking in a park in Maryland in 1960 (or not much later). A child was playing in a sandbox with 4-5 of each. Naturally, I wanted them. Much to my surprise, after asking the boy, very much my age, he gave me 2 of each. I don't know why he did. I never saw him again, if I ever went back that way. I never ever saw the equivalent again even though I have gone to various shows. For their age/period, they were extremely well detailed. I always will regret that my mother got rid of them and others in clearing the family house. Any ideas on how to find their equivalent?

Please, repost this into the appropriate Discussion Subforum at the bottom of the main page (scroll past all the Trade forums).
This is a GREAT topic, and is one that I'm sure we can all have fun with!

Could there be a name change to the general miscellaneous discussion forum? "Bartertown Cafe and Coffee" seems a little...silly and doesn't really convey what that forum is intended to do. Perhaps something as simple as "Miscellaneous -Discussions" would be appropriate and follow the same naming convention as the Miscellaneous-Fantasy and Miscellaneous-Futuristic forums that already exist on Bartertown.
