While I don't condone spammy topics, I feel the need to comment here :-D

The obvious choice is there werechicken because obviously naturally the two are going to fight at night, but since they are both pretty much inkillable, the werechicken only has to fight until dawn, at which it will just turn back into a chicken, but the vampirecow will go down.

You know how vamps are with the sun ;)

All due respect, Zodan, you have it VERY wrong.

See, what you aren't taking into consideration are a few facts, as follows.

Both creatures would be, essentially, immune to mundane weapons. Sure. However, as supernatural creatures, each one actually COUNTS its' natural attacks as "magical" attacks. Magic will work as well as -likely, better than- silver against the lycanthrope.

So, you have a Vampiric Cow... It has a high strength and constitution. It can take and deal a LOT of damage.

Then, you have your Chickanthrope!
Sure, it is smaller and faster. It will have a higher dexterity, making it harder to hit. Assuming, however, that it is not altered magically any more than it already is, it would have relatively few hit points and its' attacks would do LITTLE damage!

I think your Cow is the clear choice.

Eric

P.S. DON'T make me create the 2 using D&D rules, then fight them against each other!

I opened this thread to see WTH it was and now that I'm here .....WOW. I recently played a couple of D&D campaigns with a gnomish bard and now a oriental adventures dragon monk and I kinda like it BUT never thought of this. Great halloween thread and let me know how yours turns out Eric as I wil notify my local DM and have a celebrity death match!!!

My how far we go to get a kick on halloween.

I have to side with the were-chicken. It's faster and the cow won't likely be able to hit it easily, if at all.
The vampire-cow, slow, but faster than normal, it can heal a lot of damage quickly, but is still vulnerable to being staked...

what the hell am I doing... I am supporting the were-chicken with no discernable facts what-so-ever.

Also keep in mind that the werechicken could just jump onto the cow's back and dig in with its claws and wait till daybreak.

OKay... A wereCHICKEN is NOT going to have the manual dexterity needed to wield a stake in battle. As far as digging in a waiting for sunup...
Come ON! Don't you know anything? A vampiric creature can turn into gaseous form! The chicken wouldn't stand a chance.

Even if it came down to that, the Vampiric Cow could just go gaseous and retreat into a place where the sun can't go.

Plus, while it's gaseous, it would be highly mobile. It could just seep its way into the werechicken's lungs, then reform into its corporeal shape. The Chicken would be utterly (udderly?) destroyed!

The Cow in, IMO, the Big Cheese!

...and, Munkey Joe... While you are test fighting some creatures, MY gaming groups have created the following creatures in the past (in jest, not on acutal paper... that would be sad).

Abyssal Flamingo
Dire Slug
Fiendish Box Turtle
Tauric Pigmy-lizard
Were-cricket
Vampiric Goldfish
Abyssal Clydesdales (that was actually the adventuring company's name... they're all Evil)
Last, but not least, the Fabled Moose-otaur (like a minotaur, but...) And, YES, as a matter of fact he WAS a wizard with a flying squirrel familiar and his arch enemies DID have Russian accents!
