This seems questionable to me. Am I overreacting?

Someone posted up a trade offering items I was interested in for items I have and didn't want. I responded to the Trade post with a PM within 15 minutes of it being posted. (When I first logged on to Bartertown, the main page showed it had been posted 4 minutes ago.) The poster had 0 ITL rating, but it was stuff I was interested in, and heck my rating is only a 2, so I can certainly deal with another newbie like myself.

Roughly three hours after I PM'd the poster, I got a response from him that the items in question had been traded already. The poster already had a feedback of 2.

To me the fact that the items were posted, traded and feedback traded that quickly seems rather questionable, especially in light of several bad trader warnings of people taking on new names and artificially inflating their ITL scores to lure in a few unsuspecting rubes. (How does the item get shipped and received within 3 hours? Isn't feedback left after the item is received?) Am I over-reacting to this and/or butting my nose in where it doesn't belong, or does this seem somewhat suspicious to someone else?

It is hard to say. I know that you can do a trade REAL fast on the Live Chat. In fact, I did a trade in just a couple of minutes. Although, getting feedback that quickly seems very unlikely.

It may have been feedback from another deal; who knows.

I thought the same thing as insidius. It could be from another deal. Benefit of the doubt and all that.

I have trades fall through that fast all the time. I might get three responses in 30 minutes, decide to go with one and thank the other two for their time.
