Memorial Day

Just came back in from the INSCOM Memorial Day ceremony, and I wanted to take this moment to express my own appreciation for all those who have made that ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
"...that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to taht cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion - that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain...." Abraham Lincoln.
So, as a retired military member who came through being placed in harm's way with only bumps and bruises, I want to thank all those who have sacrificed life, limb, functionality, whatever, for your service. To the family members, thank you for the dedication and devotion of your loved ones. To my missing friends and comrades, you are missed.

Second that!
Did my time as well, along with both of my parents. Lost some good friends.
To those who served, we salute you! To those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, we honor you!

First of all I have never served, but I am very greatful for those who have in the past, present, and future. Without these great people we would not have the freedoms that we do have nowadays. My Father was in the army, my 2 nephew's are Marines one of which is still fighting overseas. May God keep him and everyone else involved safe from harms way, and May God Bless you all...Regards Soulbinder.

I'll second that.
OT: INSCOM, eh? You do know what that dagger in the MI crest is for, right?

You know, I was thinking about this thread today.
Memorial Day is a US holiday where we clelbrate the sacrifice that some of our fellow countrymen -and women- have made for us. We take this day aside as a pause, in remembrance of their service.
I'd like to reiterate my profound gratitude to those of you who have served or are serving our country, whether home or abroad.
You know what else, though?
I'd also like to take a moment and thank the armed forces of countries around the world who fight with us to defend freedom. Thank you for fighting along side our boys & girls to stand up against oppression and evil wherever it rears it's ugly head. Although I celebrate our military this holiday, I appreciate yours every day, right along side our own.
