Magical Memories asked for it, and now he shall receive!
In another thread, MM stated that he would like to hear some of my silly insurance claimant stories. Although I have a lot, I figured I would open the thread up to everybody, so we can all share silly work stories. So feel free to post a story about the people you deal with 5 days a week.
Make sure to leave out people's real names and any sensitive material. This is not the place to bash people, but rather a fun way to point out why they make you <face palm> yourself.
Here goes:
Recently, I had a claim in which a passenger in the vehicle was hurt. When I spoke to the driver of the vehicle, I asked him the name of the young lady who was hurt. His reply to me "How the (explative) should I know, I just met her at Tommy's!".
I asked him who "Tommy" was, hoping that "Tommy" could help me out. The response I got "You dumb(explative), Tommy's is a stripclub."
Turns out he was going to take her "home" (if you follow my drift) and that's when the accident occurred. He had never bothered to ask her name, because (and I quote) "Do you ask a steak it's name before you eat it?"
I wasn't sure if I should laugh or be appalled by this gentleman's total lack of regard for another person's life.
So share some stories. I know you got them!

Wow, you're a lot more relaxed than I could ever be. I'd never be able to laugh off a complete horse's arse like that.
A few trade guidlines:
1) If your feedback is significantly lower, I expect you to ship first, even if I'm buying- Money carries greater risks than minis: I can't buy groceries with a box of Tac Marines!
2) Communication is key! I'm a reasonable guy (I try,) so if there's a problem, tell me!
3) I package things well, you should do the same. Protect minis from each other, too.
4) Leave feedback!

Re: Silly work stories
Good Day,
I work for the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams Arizona as a train dispatcher.
I once had a gentelman hold up the departure of the train because he left his childs inhaler in the car.
I had some folks forget their kids at the Grand Canyon Depot. It was luckily a day we were running two trains and the conductor on the second train found them and brought them home on his train.
Not really the fault of the passengers but when the time changes (so Nevada & California are behind us) I get folks who miss the train because they forgot that we were an hour ahead.
During the winter I had a tourist drive his car onto the tracks at the Grand Canyon and get stuck, it took about 2 hours and a bucket loader to get him out (this was in about 4 feet of snow) so the train could arrive.
Thank you,

That's right. Forgot Arizona doesn't observe daylight savings time.
