I will have everything you own. Preference given to Warhammer Fantasy Items.
Trade conditions:
1. I'll buy up to 1% of retail value, but I only trade in semi happy thoughts. But you must feel guilty for making me work that hard.
2. You will send first, no matter how many years of work you've put in here at Bartertown. This is not even open to discussion.
3. When you package your models to send to me, you'll need to praise me at all times.
4. The only acceptable packaging is teak with gold hardware. Please polish the gold just before it arrives at my house on the Elephant litter, otherwise I will leave a negative reference.
5. You must include a packing slip that alternately lists the items you sent me written in powdered Unicorn horn, followed by a line of high praise directed at my awesomeness. The lines about me may be written in standard ink as no earthly substance is truly super enough to glorify my awesomeness.
6. When the trade is concluded you will leave me double positive feedback. You will enjoy leaving it and the moderators will leave yet another positive for me because they are so honored that I trade at this site.
7. The highest possible feedback you may receive from me is neutral. This is not a reflection on you, simply a reflection on how amazing I am and how glad you are to simply be allowed to contact me.
8. I only ship on Tuesday afternoons.
</grrrrr>

To be honest that is exactly the feeling I get from some of the traders here.
Just becuase you've touched the NiB item that I'm graciouls enough to take from you I value that now filthy piece of trade refuse at 70% of it's value. Now if you happened to have looked at that particular item as well, Tisk tisk. Now I value that at 60% of retail

Well, man... You know... Everybody wants a bargain! : )
Honestly, 70% isn't TOO bad for MIB items. It's a little low, but not horrible (I find 75% reasonable, personally).
If a buyer can get it from a retailer for 80% of retail, most of them aren't going to come here to get it for the same price.

Just my opinion, though.
Then again, 60% of retail because the box is opened... That's ridiculous (IMO). If it's brand new in (opened) box, that should be the same as MIB here (IMO).

I like the post I saw the other day where the person as much as called everyone here crooks and did the pre-emptive "I will call the cops" statement in their opening post before anyone even contacted them. My first thought was of my feelings towards "better halves" which is that you trust them as far as you trust yourself. Said something about the person to me. I put them on my DNT list immediately just because of their statements in their opening post.

I wonder if we've both received a PM from the same person....
Ive talked to a few traders with a "high horse" attitude. The stuff they have is a "collector's item", the stuff you have is trash.
Ive noticed another trend lately. Having little "trade guidelines" in the signature.
"if you trade with me, you agree to blah, blah, blah."

Oh I'm not talking buying, I was talking trading. You know where most people say retail for retail. Lookign over my post I wasn't all the exactly clear I simply made a single comment to "Trade Refuse"
Buying is far lower, I've seen people flatly stating that they are not going to pay more than 50% for your items (regardless of condiditon)
Yeah the sigs are another thing I've notiecd lately. Personally I do not consider Sigs to be part of the contract. Great, you're informing me of your guidelines that you
usually follow, however for this trade we are negotiating for the deal.

Sig Lines are not part of the contract, agreed. They are too easy to edit at a whim. If you felt that you HAD to make sure your trade partner is agreeable, you need to spell it out in a PM.
[/end staff opinion]
The rant did make me laugh, I will confess... It was well crafted. I have had SOME level of arrogance from folks.. up to and including one fella who told me "I don't care what your rating is, money first! (he had like a 2)" so I passed. He hit me up later to ask what the numbers next to my nic meant, and why I was in red.

Thanks for helping me, Jim.
I've been meaning to make that introduction for a while, now.
"Diet Coke, meet monitor. Monitor, meet Diet Coke. Now, don't worry, keyboard. There's apparently enough to go around for everyone."

Something like this has been brewing in my mind for years. And I saw someone today with a (6) rating with "you will ship first. This is not negotiable." I just flipped and started rambling for this post.

lol, I am SOOOO tempted to copy and paste some of the funnier ones I have seen on the boards and pm. And I am a lowly noob here. I can imagine some of the ones you vets have seen over the years.
To be honest it is people like that that make me happy I dont act like that. I MAY be a pain in the ass but at least never in THAT way.
