Do inventory before trading. You dont need more of the same thing!
Anyone ever have that problem? I've opened some boxes I traded for stuff a while ago and put away and start pulling out between 50-60 black orcs......not sure why I wanted so many....

Oh dear lord yes. I hate that so much...
Largely because my wife seizes the chance to hassle me mercilessly, but that's what happens when you get two librarians poking fun about collection management.

Well, maybe you should do something UBER geeky, like organize them all with a bar code scanner.

Me?
Nope. Not me.
Ask our fearless leader about his bar code scanner, though.

But would they be organized by the dewey decimal system or the library of congress?
And I may have traded for the same thing not once, not twice, but three times without realizing it...
I've also traded things thinking I had multiples when I didn't.

I did before I had kids.
Cool points are like reference scores.
For
example, they can easily go from something like "kturock ( 339 )" to "kturock ( 0 )" and still have room to drop further. Like "kturock ( -1000 )," for instance.
KWIM?

Amen brother. I've also done the flip side: agree to trade something that I was *sure* I had, only to find out/remember that it was already gone when I went to ship...
I've done much better this past year at keeping things organized. And if I'm not sure, I go check *before* making a deal. Works most of the time.

You just have to make sure you fatten them up first.

On topic:
I actually like going through stuff every once and a while as it gets me motivated to:
1) build something
2) sell something
Lately it has been the latter.
What kills me is when I can't find something I know I have....somewhere!

I make an effort to keep things I am offering in trade in separate baggies in a big box, so I can do a visual scan and it is easy to tell what I have and what I don't.
It is when I see a post and think "yeah, I got that!" that I fall down and go boom....

What i hate is when you know you have something for trade but can't find the dang thing.
I have 10 Banshees floating around somewhere. But for the life of me I can't seem to find them. Believe me i have looked!!!
