Is everything functional? I can't seem to click on peoples names to see when last on, I can't post trade ref's & my PM's seem to be stuck in the outbox not the sent section which I don't know the difference but I"m curious.

Hi guys, I'm wondering how soon will the ratings be back? I know Pork's an Admin, but I'd be reluctant to begin other trades without access to the rating system.....

Some of us don't venture into DakkaDakka. I would suggest a news post on TTGN. That's how I found out BT was back up.

Frankly, the only other site I use besides BTown is here. So, I wouldn't be putting updates anywhere I go.
NO attitude intended but, as easy as it would be for us to post on TTGN, it would be as easy for others to check Dakka... especially now that they know our tendencies.

Not everything is functional, but your PM issue us a function of the PHPBB software and no a glitch. They'll stay in your outbox until the recipient reads them.

Don't know. Adam's working on it but, unfortunately, that is the best info anyone but he can give. I doubt he'll be checking the forums for messages until he has something to post, though.

I can shoot him an email tonight and ask if he has any sort of time fram on anything. Ref view, even if NOT the ability to LEAVE a ref, should take #1 priority of all of the "bells & whistles."

Everything but the trade ref numbers are working for me. No lost info etc.

Off the top of my head, here is a list of currently outstanding issues. Please, add to the list if you encounter anything not already listed.

1) ITL is down. Cannot leave ref's or see ref's next to User ID's
2) Banners are down
3) Some (all?) non-staff users cannot get to other User profiles by clicking on their User ID
4) All tabs at the top of the page are gone

Issue #3 should be resolved.
I edited the "Registered Users" group (that's most of you guys), the "Advertisers" group and the "Bartertown Plus" group. Gave you back certain permissions that had not come across. You should be able to see profiles, edit PM's, etc. like you used to.
You also have the ability to forward PM's now which, I believe, you did not previously have.

If you find anything indicating that #3 may not be resolved, LMK.

Something else that is not working... is the hidden feature. I usually log in using it, but it seems it just italicizes any members who have logged in as hidden. Also, it shows my last time visited when it should just be a dash or similar. Just a heads up.

Hmm. I specifically made sure to turn of the "can see hidden users" flag.
The Italicized name is how it shows up for staff (you can't hide from us!!! Mwahahahaha).
I'll see if there isn't something else going on.

P.S. Personally, I was never fond of people logging on as "hidden" anyway. It always just seemed shady to me(no insult intended, people!).

Any word on the return of the trade feedback system yet? That's a crucial part of B'Town for me, ever since I got scammed years ago by Tech9 I NEVER agree to a final deal/shipment without checking references.

What's ITL?! Some weird technical jargon for the trade feedback system?

Back when the board was in it's beginnings, we had a different style of posting.. more of a craigslisty sorta thing.

At the TIME, the trade rating system was called the Internet Trade Level (or something similar) and abbreviated the ITL.. OLD crusty types call it that acronym still.

But short and simple ITL = Trade References

It might be that there are TWO places I needed to "turn off" that ability. the first being in the group permissions and the second being... somewhere else.

I'll have a gander at it later.

Hmm. On further thought... It's not likely to be until Sunday evening (I get to spend this WHOLE WEEKEND helping my parents build their new outbuilding... outside... ). So, if any other admin-types wanna have a whack at it, I won't be offended.
Otherwise, I'll poke around at it on Sunday.
