Should you be able to edit the trade refs you've submitted?
You've submitted a trade reference, should you be able to go back and edit it sometime later?

I agree with ammending/adding to it. Or having a means of having your name added/corrected when the person doesn't enter it or enters it incorrectly. Editing the original on the part of the poster is asking for trouble.
Withholding my vote until another options shows up for "add to/ammend"
To see what I mean, take a look at my refs. For some reason, many show my name as "6". Then there are the ones that list my name and state incorrectly..... if I ever had to change my email address, I would lose out on the ones with the wrong name...

Amen to the above. I have some wrong info as well and it too would be lost, I belive.
Not sure how others think, but I would like to see some sort of standard for the dollar amount, or at least what was traded. If someone with a low trade rating has completed a large trade with an established trader, and has followed up with some smaller, but still complete, trades with others, that goes a long way in my book.
Someone with lots of bitz trades or only does one type of thing, like as a buyer only or as a seller only, that would be good info to have.
Just some thoughts anyway.

If you can't take the time to proofread, then let everyone who reads it see that!
One thing I wouldn't mind, though I don't find it important, is a choice for "B, S, or T."
B if the person receiving the feedback was the buyer.
S if the person receiving the feedback was the seller.
T if it was a straight up trade.
Other than that, the rest isn't really necessary.
If you change emails, let an admin know and they will associate your ref's with the new email address.

I did not vote since I did not see one I liked.
I like the ability that Ebay provides where you can reply to a ref (in the case of a bad one) and the person can reply to the reply. It allows someone to be able to respond to a negative and post any resolution. Of course it often digresses into "he did this" "I did not" type responses.

I thought i had already responded to this, but i guess not...
I think editing trade refs is a very bad idea. Rather than explain why it's bad, i'm going to ask why would this possibly be a good idea?
I always thought that part of the integrity of the reference system comes from being permanent. I suspect that any editing that is allowed will open the doors to things like "i'll do _____, but only if you change the reference you left." I think that undermines the integrity of the system.
What i would like to see is for the system to check to make sure that all of those items with red stars next to them are actually filled out, so that names don't show up blank or as numbers, states/provinces are always entered where appropriate, the trade/seller/buyer doesn't default to trade (assuming this is ever used for anything), etc...
It would also be a good idea, IMO, to add a confirmation when someone tries to leave a neutral or negative reference (somthing like "you're about to leave a negative reference for so-and-so, do you really want to do this?"). I've seen a several accidental negative references that could have been avoided by some form of confirmation.
All of that should be pretty simple to impliment and would, i think, improve the usefulness of the references.
Beyond that, if people proofread their ref before submitting (which they should), the only need i can see for editing would be changing a reference from one type ("good", "neutral", "bad") to another based on some new information (trader made good on a deal, turns out you got counterfit models, whatever...). In those cases, i'd still be interested in the original details. I'm guessing these instances are relatively rare anyway. Currently, how often do the admins receive requests to do that sort of thing? And is the hassle of dealing with those requests manually more than the hassle of dealing with problems that will arrise from allowing references to be edited?
