Hi all,
Just wanted to know what the average time is for a trade to complete. I have a trade ongoing that has taken almost a month, with the trader I'm dealing with telling me he is out of country. He didn't tell me this until two weeks into the trade, tho I'd guerss he knew he was outward-bound before the trade began.
As he lives overseas from me, I envision this trade taking at least another three weeks, and I wasn't planning on that.
Any advice from the ol' time traders here on etiquette for this situation? I'm trying not to get too PO'd, but as time passes it's getting harder to maintain my cool. The trader has a good review history here, so I don't want to just sandbag him.
Your advice is appreciated!

If he's keeping in contact and you think it's an all round good deal for you, then stick with it.
If he isnt keeping in contact, let it go. I'm also basing all this on nothing being sent yet. In which case you can really do anything you wanna.

A month is a LONG time, regardless of where they are.

I think what this situation needs is some imagination.

His rating is 52.
He joined in 09/2003
We agree on trade 4/16. I shipped on 4/18. I emailed asking if he got the package at the beginning of May (4-10 working days for delivery), and on 5/6 he said he'd get in touch with me in a week (out of country), and no word as yet.

He's not in the U.S. military is he? The mailing system they use sometimes takes a bit longer since they have additional restrictions and security procedures.
